PC Specs Thread - We're out of beta now

AMD Athlon X4 860k @ 3.7 GHz
EVGA GeForce GTX 960 SC 4GB
8 GB RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Okay, something weird is going on here. I just upgraded my graphics card to a GTX 960 from a 750 and I still get slight FPS drops. It doesn’t seem to matter whether I have the graphics at the bare minimum or maxed out. My FPS still fluctuates between ~55 and 60. I don’t think the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU too badly because when I looked at the usage percentages with Afterburner, they weren’t anywhere near 90%. What gives?

Since I don’t have a PS4, and trying not to get one for 1 game. What are some good cheap computer setups that you guys are using to play SFV smoothly etc.?

Thankyou! Seems to be working well so far… Side note: in my case having run as admin checked gave errors trying to start the game. Only the compatibility mode needs to be on for dedicated GPU to start for me.

I spent more time at setting/trying to stop the in game slowdown that playing.
I have sometimes constant 60fps during match (at max setting) and suddently (sometimes just pausing the game) it starts the slowdown show.
What is very strange is that even after downgrading a lot ( every setting at middle range), it do the same sudden slowdown.

It felt somehow better after uninstalling some nvidia drivers yesterday but it’s irregular back and forth thing so difficult to say.
Add to that the servers shit make the game not playable for me at the moment.
I miss good old day when I only had to insert super famicom cardridge and could play for hours :’(

Any of you having connectivity problems? It still takes me years to find matches and I can’t join any lobbies (it says they no longer exist) even though people can join mine if I invite them.
What is the best way to go about it so Capcom actually cares? Customer service or something, idk.

I’m having the same issues, if you play in offline mode your golden, but once you hit online mode…god forbid -_-. Just waiting for them to fix the servers i suppose

I’m currently sitting at 230,000 ish fight money. going to do all survival missions on normal and easy till then

Well as a previous person said, compatibility mode seems to only have a timed benefit… back to slowdown for me :frowning:

Is it normal for the game to keep jumping between 59-61 fps?

Yes.

Laptop specs. Note that using the “nvidia geforce experience” tool to optimize settings worked awesomely for me. Plays fine.

            Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
               Memory: 16384MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M

 Display Memory: 11159 MB

Dedicated Memory: 3008 MB
Shared Memory: 8150 MB
Current Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

You need to be more specific about the “crapping out” Did it display artifacts or did the screen freeze? Or did your pc just crash? It might have been a driver issue. Nothing a good Format C cant fix

CPU Intel i7 4790k
Overclocked to 4.7GHZ

GPU Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 980 Ti
Fans don’t spin when playing. Only on massive load which is rarely.

RAM 16gb Hyper X Ram memory

MOBO ASUS Z97 Sabertooth Mark S LE
Great oc’er

All on max setting
Still 60fps when recording

Intel® Core™ i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
win 7 64 bit
8gb ram
2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

runs like crap, i start out at 60fps for about 2 minutes then it steadily drops, even as i’m typing this it’s at around 30fps. any ideas?

I tried it, doesn’t seem to work :frowning: SFV isn’t on the list of supported games (if that means anything).

Edit: Silly thing seems to work now, not sure why it didn’t before. Will do some extensive testing but it’s looking good

Runs smooth as butter at 1440P. Never seen lag once.

Nobody worth their salt spends meter performing needlessly long combos that weren’t optimal damage (unless showing off). And 4 actually has less scaling than SF5, it just doesn’t matter so much in 5 because the combos aren’t anywhere near as extensive.

Is that program only for nvidia people? Anything like that for an amd guy?

it’s gorgeous at 1440p isn’t it

Actually there is, AMD gaming evolved app. Its pretty good too. It comes with your drivers.

Glad to be of help!
