I checked my account a week ago, and to my amazement, I had had a beta key since the end of December.
I’ve now got a level 25 archer, lol - love it.
Rabbit got my friend’s code, so SRK is up in this.

I plan to get a lot of play time in this weekend. Currently rolling Templar, and going for tons of HP and two handed maces.
The hit detection sucks, for projectiles.
Rangers really sort of suck too, imo.
I have lost interest in this, after having played the D3 Beta, and shall wait for D3 to roll out.
You do realize that there’s a chance you will miss and enemies have a chance to dodge right?
Early game rangers don’t have very good accuracy. Therefore it seems like the projectiles do nothing.
Has anyone played both Path of Exile and the recent Diablo 3 stress test open beta? I heard they upped the difficulty in the recent D3 stress test.
I haven’t played either game, but I prefer the dark atmosphere and graphics of Path of Exile. I heard reports of D3 being casualized.
I saw the Witch and Templar official trailer from Path of Exile, and I gotta say the game looks amazing! For those who haven’t seen them yet, here are the trailers:

For those that did play both Path of Exile and D3 stress test, which do you prefer? More fun?
Wow. That’s really sad because I completed the D3 stress test (as a Monk) without ever using a healing potion, or ever feeling like I was in danger of dying.
Normal mode is supposed to be easy… and it’s only the first third of the first act.
That skill tree is just… way, WAY too much. That’s a pretty big turn off.
After I got bored with the D3 beta I got a beta key for this and it’s pretty awesome. They actually inserted decision making into the potion managing. Very cool.
Seems like Path of Exile is having an Open Beta weekend this week, starting on Friday. Everyone’s free to nab the game and play over the weekend, and the game’s supposed to be moving into a fully Open Beta state soon, according to the announcement.
PoE stress test 2 is now live! If you’re curious about this game, just give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
They’ve made a whole lot of changes recently, adding AI to all mobs in the game so far. This has made the game much more difficult and challenging. They also added the final 6th class and a bunch of skills and other things. Go to pathofexile.com to find out more and try it out.
Plus this is something to tide you over until Tuesday.
Wow, this game is cool! I like the whole gem system, can’t wait to find a support gem to see what I can do with my spells. I’m using the Witch, by the way. Also, I like the potion mechanics, and the fact that the flasks themselves can have special properties.
Is there someone who sells skills? I want minions.
thanks for the update ill prolly just play this game and not diablo iii
I’ve played both.
D3 is the better game.
By far.
Cursing is my religion. And Jesus fucking Christ, religion has continuity issues.
Also: I am floating, with my eyes closed, with no sails. I am soaking, I am weathered, by the winter of mixed drinks.
They both feel pretty much the same to me, they just look different.
I can give you a Raise Zombie skill and Detonate Dead (corpse explosion) if you want it. Both level 1.
Also, this game is FF7 Materia system plus FF10 Sphere Grid, thrown on up of a Diablo base. It’s kind of interesting. It will at least hold me over until…tuesday.
I’m going online now. Name is MMKing.
I can hook you up with some stuff bro. I can give you a summon skeleton gem to go with your raise zombie so you can be a necro witch lol.
Man I’m on a friggin roll today, I picked up 3 legendary items while solo questing and one of them is this epic-ass mage glove that I posted in global chat. I got flooded with super high level legendary loot i’ve never seen or heard of. I think i’ll hang on this these gloves…
Exile feels too, I dunno, Strife laden, for my tastes.
I could easily overlook this were it not for the horrid collision detection.

I have a witch and just beat act 1. It’s pretty fun and your progression definitely feels way more loot based than through leveling. The whole sphere grid is kind of intimidating but I’m just going for summoning more minions and making firestorm more godly. The dps number on it and spark are really deceiving because the number displayed is only for the dps of one hit.
I never died yet but this is harder than act one of D2. Being chilled and frozen is the most annoying thing in this game. I noticed that spells can seem to miss and I never really pumped anything into dex for more accuracy, but since I’ve been using multihit spells the misses don’t seem too noticeable.
Aren’t the items just going to get reset on official release though?
