If I wasn’t always mobile and on via wireless I would play hardcore with you guys.
It still sucks for Zana daily though when it makes only one portal and I get disconnected in the middle.

are you on my friends list, i know i got some srk members on friends list but you guys use different handles so i can never tell in game.
i had a lvl83 scion animate weapon + spirit summoner rip to a huge lag spike, i was casting spirits with no real immediate danger and the next frame was the resurrect screen hahaha. oh well, worst part is i was close to the level 85 challenge for getting 3 characters to 85. re-rolled same summoner but as a witch lvl69 now.

Are you guys playing what you like or are you playing top tiers (or do they happen to be the same in your case)?
I like my summoner, but she will never be as fast as my CoC ST.
Honestly, I try doing my own thing.
I’m going for the crit build I mentioned, but it’s not optimize like the tree I was linked a while back. However, since the Sorc got some changes, it does make things a little more complex, but overall I’m trying to do my own thing since seeing end game, I don’t want it to be THAT easy.
Granted, I still know there’s enemies about that can one shot you regardless what you’re wearing and need to stay caution, but yeah… I like chain lightning lol.
i always play what build i create and i always do new builds each league. last league was Crit ball lightning (rampage) and SRS summoner (Beyond). This league im doing hybrid animate weapon + SRS (support) and since it has ripped i also have a poison arrow trapper. I always create from scratch from my creativity.

Cool, I usually see which skills I like and create my own builds but when I get to around level 80 I check forums to see what possible options exist.
Last league I had Spectre + Zombie + Animate Weapon + SRS. SRS was super god tier last league before the nerf this league. I then changed it to Spectre + SRS and then to SRS with full aura support. To be honest, even though SRS are minions, I don’t feel like a summoner playing SRS. They’re more like guided missiles.
Was thinking of maybe doing a character that can tank next, high life MoM EB IR AA.
last league i wanted to play a summoner because i never had, so my build originally was spectre’s and zombies w/ montegruels graps and the idea was i would do minion instability and prolif the insane fire damage from the life of the zombies. however, the zombies never died because they had so much life, i think it was like 16k life or maybe even 20k i dont remember so then i started experimenting with different summoner gems and ended up with SRS, which i can agree that it doesnt REALLY feel like a summoner. my builds are always transformative as they progress.
this league my summoner build was animate weapon + srs which felt more like a summoner, a lot more management of minions involved. too bad that it riped twice and i never considered the build complete. after i consider a build complete i will look at what other people did with a similar build, to my surprise i was the only person who made a ball lightning build with a shadow, most were with other classes and were similar in skill tree, but mine was more mechanically complex (low life without shavs and IR in an es build, the vertex unique was also pretty cool).
i played a crit archer in beyond that had that same defense set up MoM EB IR AA, i also had codt combo w/ immortal call. it was ridiculously tanky. it ripped to a crazy crit puncture that i couldnt react to, shit was like 1 second bleed rip @ 4900 life…

If you get the extra points out of corrupting zombie and empower in +2 helm linked with minion life, you can easily get over 60k zombie HP. They don’t die but since snapshotting nerf and since remote mine no longer works to summon zombies with the boost they got a huge damage nerf, but if you go all in for SRS they just melt everything (before the nerf, higher level SRS large nerf).
I still don’t know which skill to go with for my MoM EB IR AA. I still got my legacy Cloak of Defiance. I don’t see a point for CWDT setup because back when I had a character with over 100k defense and AA (before its nerf), I took no damage and my life regenerate wasn’t much (wasn’t my RF character).
Anyways, I have a Rasa so I can mess around and test stuff. I need a skill for MoM EB IR AA but I don’t want to go CoC because the SP investment is too large.

I do whatever build I feel I have good gear for until the 60’s. Like if I end up with a lot of good physical wands or bows or whatever, I’ll make a build out of it. I rarely do fotm builds unless it’s the start of a league and i want an easy build that doesn’t need good gear. Right now I have a shit ton of currency, might try and a CoC crit staff templar or something, I like to do random ass builds.
anything works with that setup to be honest, arch, ball lightning, flameblast, reave would be dope especially a vaal pact reave.

This was a very interesting read for upcoming patches to come in Path of Exile.

I didn’t touch the game for a while, but I booted it up last week and slammed some maps on my Duelist in Torment league.
I should probably sell/trade off my currency to get ready for whenever the new content hits. If Act IV comes out next patch, I’ll jump right the hell back in(new leagues are always enough to get me to come back for a bit.) I don’t think Act IV is hitting next month, though(?)

Okay, not gonna lie…
Been playing Path of Exile for years (even before it enter Steam), could never get into it. Always quit when I hit around level 40 - 60, I honestly think the game is very boring.
HOWEVER… playing now is the first time I got addicted and I’m barley level 23.
I’m having fun, shit is crack for me. Only reason I’m not on right now cause of my studies. Once I’m done, I’ll be back on if I got time.
