Its scheduled for this week, who knows when Namco is going to release it.
Thanks for clearing this up Mr.Wiz.I was hoping you would catch that message I sent on mIRC
Thank You so much for the info, I knew there was something fishy about that rumor about the Tuesday patch. That’s a relief.
I’m really hoping for a Tomorrow or Thurdsay patch since that when 360 and PS3 get their updates and stuff.
It better deliver. Otherwise Tekken just becomes a game I casual at locals, which is a shame cause I like the game, but without the ability to put effective time in consistently it’s better to concentrate on other games that I like also.
awesome thanks for clearing that up. Damn i was really excited cause i dont have work tomorrow and could finally get some good matches in tonight.
I have a feeling there’s going to be more disappointment when the patch is released. I hope I’m wrong though…
awesome news man. At least we get some kind of improvement unlike some other games where the company kinda abandon you. KOFXII at least tried to address the issue. I am hoping the issue is at least somewhat fix. It may not be at BB lvl, I just hope it reaches SFIV level at least.
Yup. I am sure TekkenSD will break the news as soon as it’s released. Now, whats this other major DLC/Patch Mark was taking about at the end of the ‘Triple Threat’ stream/broadcast? I better see something green and gold with quick unblockables
^ this update has nothing to do with the co-op update in december, which will probably add dlc and shit. this is just mainly a fix for the lag to my understanding. i could imagine they get it right. i mean as tested by the community. no matter what kind of connection you have, it sucks, so there must have been something they could fix to get it straight, and they knew that shit. project was just rushed. aint no way you drop that shit, and it sucks that bad, and that went over your head during testing. LOL! but im glad they responded so quickly, although it seemed like a long time.
i’m trying to figure out how they rushed a game that seems like it has been in japan for like 234234324 years before we got a taste of it here. this thing has been in development for a long, long time and they fucked it up. i don’t know if it had anything to do with xbox or not and i don’t care.
nobody asked for scenario campaign.
nobody gives a shit about the favorite stage and character thing you can see as wall paper.
i love tekken offline. i love it…but i really wish that they focused on cutting down load times in between matches, putting endings in arcade mode, maybe a few costumes (trivial shit in comparison to the load times)…instead of scenario campaign and that favorite stage/character thing.
i still feel like we got the shaft (ps3 owners). but whatever. hopefully the patch just fixes online lag and hopefully load times.
The question is: did it come before the DLC because it was rushed, or did it come first because they think it’s good?
My expectations are reasonable, let’s hope they surpass them.
Debs pretty much explains how I feel.
Namco is definitely paying for theirr sins though- the traffic for SFIV, nine months after launch , is vastly surpassing Tekken talk two weeks after launch. That says something, especially since Namco thought SFIV and Tekken would be equally hype.
I miss IRC… I haven’t really connected since that random dude tricked me into thinking he was Wiz and give ops to #tekken … I no longer had ops after that
On the PSP version Vs. screen, they load up the character’s image instead of their model, which is obviously faster. They should implement this for console when you enable Quick Select.
…imo
theirs so many little things like that that they could do to cut down on loading. I can live with the loading times but if they were just a bit faster it would make my day.
Why? Console exclusivity does not, a better gaming experience, make. I’ve never understood this point of view. Also, why would you have an entire swath of gamers miss out on a fantastic gaming experience, you don’t own a stake in Sony. I was a PS2 guy last generation and never once felt like I got “the shaft”, even when xbox got Ninja Gaiden and KOTOR and we didn’t. The only reason I don’t own both now is because I’m broke.
I’m not lashing out at you or trolling. It’s just that there has been this belief floating around that, somehow, the fact that there was an xbox port of the game has caused the netcode to suck, the game to look like shit, and famine in the streets of the world’s major cities. It’s Bamco’s fault, folks, not xbox owners or microsoft. There’s plenty of other legitimate reasons to hate M$,(looking at you Vista) so why waste energy on this one.
i really disagree with this gaming looking like shit in general, the animations are still hands down the best.
they need to fix the assinine amount of time it takes to get custom rages, ive been doing that trick for 6 hours straight to get fire rage and i cant fucking get it… bs
Me too. There are some people, though, who were saying that if it were PS3 only it would be able to run it at the same resolution that it was running at on the type X2 board, which is just not true. They toned down the resolution because, even on that MONSTER piece of hardware, there was slowdown when the stages would break on certain levels. I still think it looks great, myself. Even if it didn’t I wouldn’t care, cause the game still kicks ass.
dude i cannot pick a fucking main in this game… its driving me insane
Dammit, why don’t they ever have video of their mo-cap sessions?? Capcom did it for DMC3, and that shit was tight.
