Wow. I’ve been out of the game for a while until I saw this KS campaign.
Pam and Tommy Lee have nothing on that KS video, love the Star Wars chiptunes! I’m in for two…but only if you promise to make more videos. Great work Bryan!

Bryan does not make videos too often, but when he does they are pretty great. I liked the video where he demonstrates the Slip Ring using Susan’s power Drill.
And the videos of his kid playing Pinball
Backed… couldnt pass up 4 plates and 2 RGB sticks!
Almost 50% backing day 1 thanks everyone

Pinball??? What is pinball??!?
Is it that thing Fonzie used to knock in Happy Days to make it work?
(Yeah, I know it was a JUKEbox… Never though the pinball machine at Arnold’s ever needed the “magic touch.”)
I’m afraid pinball’s going to stay in digital simulation land except for collectors and people who actually want to build or custom-order a new pinball machine.
(I don’t have the space and have had mini-pinball machines break on me, so I’m good with digital even as much as I know that’s heresy to pinball machine collectors.)
The only piece of entertainment technology I’ve seen go away and come back from the dead has been the vinyl LP. I was really surprised to see that happen! People have no idea how heavy 12" discs really are until they have to move!
(As I am reminded every time I have to lug around those stupid laserdiscs I bought over 20 years ago…)
@Hoops @Darksakul @Georgec @ed1371
Some days I come here and feel the way @moonchilde expressed earlier in another thread. Some days I come here and think, why? Today, my day sucked. I posted my 50% comment from my phone and didn’t see the comments made by you guys. Today I came here, I read these comments, and it made my day. Thanks guys, I needed this.
And any of you guys are welcome to come play pinball at my place anytime, and yes George, you can even use the Jukebox Best way to have a pin is to find a broken one cheap and learn how to fix it… because I can promise you will need to fix it again.
I think I’m going to make a Kickstarter update video tonight, this one is for you Hoops, maybe I can get Tyler to guest star
Sorry I lied… we are now 91% funded Thank you everyone!
I’m going to throw some money your way tonight for the Kickstarter.
Thanks Moon!
So Moonchilde suggested an S plate a bit ago on Facebook, and we are hoping we can get some drawings done and maybe tie that into the Kickstarter! I have some preliminary drawings, but I like to mock these things up before posting.
Also… I have a new actuator design, should be fun. If I can get a prototype made I will post some pictures.
And we are working on the next Kickstarter but I don’t think anyone here is looking for replacement buttons for DK.
Unbelievable, 2 days and 10% over funding!
At this point we have 185 dollars until the stretch goal of Xarcade compatible plates are done also. If we get to this goal everyone pledging will have a choice of Xarcade compatible or slightly larger Universal plate. Finally mount a Sanwa or Seimitsu easily in your Xarcade stick!
I have a question
If the $2000 goal is reached can the people who pledged for multiple plates choose both the standard size and the small plates. Like I pledged for 4 plates can I choose half reg and half small?
Yes, every goal we get to will make a choice of those plates available
Just backed. Grabbed the Early Bird Special. Congrats on reaching funding. Quick question…Will the plates come with the plastic for JLW installation?
Update: Brain clarified. There is a small piece of plastic that must be removed for the universal plate to mount a JLW. Thanks @Armi0024
gonna change (add more) my backing… I have an unfinished xarcade tankstick project I need to finish!
Bryan, we all have bad days… I hope seeing that your KS was funded so fast helped a bit.
Edit: I added $15 more ($65 total) to get a few more plates… wouldnt let me select more than one reward… oh and you are past stretch now
you were at 1495 before I added the 15
Ed you rock, and of course we will add in those for you!

Quick question. When I’m about to check out, my order doesn’t have a shipping option only pick up.
Good news and bad news —
First, the good. My last order finally came in and I’m overall happy with what I got. (The macadamia nuts were nice as always. Say thanks to Mr. Nabors!)
After I modded the transparent blue JLF shaft, it slid nicely onto the new LS-32 and I was able to recommission my Number One Mad Catz TE R1 after a year-and-a-half’s worth of inactivity. Performs perfectly!
(Being the anal retentive I am, LS-32’s NEVER got onto my joysticks in stock condition. I always take off the C-clips because they’re junk and slip on a 3/8" E-ring after I do a spring mod. Before I reassemble the PCB, I clip off the outer part of the two way restrictor gate on the dark blue plastic piece. That makes it so I can take off the LS-32 PCB without having to unscrew the outer restrictor gate in the future. So there were four mods altogether for this one LS-32-01!)
And no, the JLF shaft cover doesn’t look bad after the mod. It looks “frosted” is the way to put it which it should after having the plastic shaved to half thickness from the inside-out to fit the LS-32 shaft.
The LS-40-01 I received wasn’t able to put to use right away because A) it needs the right mounting plate (SS Mounting Plate) and B) I need to get some electrical parts before it can be commissioned for use in the Agetec case it’s going to end up in. Did some test fits in the Agetec case that it’s going into anyway… The RE: Flat Plate definitely does NOT fit that case…
The LS-56 3lb-tension spring did a nice job revitalizing the LS-58. The stock LS-58 spring is just too weak IMHO. The joystick still has its issues but people still swear by it. I prefer the LS-32 and LS-40 myself even though the LS-58 is officially “usable” where I’m concerned.
And now, the bad news…
The Butteroj ball handle was a bit more “foofy” than I expected but I would still use it IF it actually screwed onto the shaft handles well. Let me explain. Artwise, it looks nice, but there is a problem with the 6mm screws. They’re just too tight! It goes away about halfway down on the JLF and LS-40 shafts but it’s tight… a lot tighter than any Seimitsu, Sanwa, or Hori ball handles I’ve used as far as fastening goes. I chipped off slivers of metal from the shaft handle screwdriver notch as I was tightening the ball handle onto the shafts; that’s not supposed to happen. I’ve used flat handle screwdrivers to hold the notch on the shaft in place before but I’ve never had a ball handle twist on so tight. I eventually got the BO ball handle to go down maybe 2/3 the way on the LS-32 I received today but eventually it came off.
The balltop will NOT come off once it goes on about halfway on most shafts but that’s an issue for most people. They want it flush with the top of the shaft handle/shaftcover. For many people, having a half-on balltop handle is going to be an eyesore or look bad. (Might be okay if the shaft clearance is low on the faceplate/panel top, though. Just have to cover that half of the ball handle thread that’s exposed.)
Don’t know what to do with the ball handle. It’s an awful expensive paperweight, IMHO… The balltop looks like it was drilled fine and seems solid but those screws are just a heartbreaker. I hope that’s not an issue with the other custom balltop handles cuz I got a bad feeling here. Whoever made the BO handle messed up the screw threads. Way, way too tight here!
@georgec , the threading used for the ball tops expands into the plastic to bind the plastic. It will seat all the way, it’s threaded to 12mm. Every time a shaft is placed in, it actually makes the threads more secure into the plastic. If there is an issue we can replace it, no worries. I fully seat a shaft in everyone I drill at least two times before we put them on the shelf, so that they are easier to do when they get to you, but I may have missed yours.
In regards to the custom ball tops and threading it depends on the style. Butteroj and Bugs have the same brass insert. All others have insert molded threads and should not have the same issue.
How do we go about replacing this, armi?
If this were a regular balltop, I wouldn’t care so much… But it was over $20 and there’s a problem with the thread screws.
I don’t care for the suggestion about “broadening” the screws. That’s more likely going to destroy a balltop handle than “save it.” I wouldn’t even try that with a regular balltop. I just don’t have the work desk or tools for that!
I’d rather send the thing back if that’s the case and have you look at it.
Those threads are screwed up no matter how I looked at it, and like I said, I tried on three different shaft handles that are threaded the same!
