The waiting for the Kaimana and LEDs kits is killing me!!!

Just building my own panel… then we will be posting

Ok, so how simple is the Kaimana to install… here’s my schedule
11:30 arrived home starting drawing a joytick panel on Solidworks
12:00 finished the drawing and went to cut
12:15 done cutting, but… because I was cutting from behind on mirrored plexi I now have a great scrap piece for a left handed stick
12:30 finished fixing my dumb ass mistake, now I have a right handed panel
1:00 finished putting buttons and joysticks in
1:30 finished installing leds
1:45 soldered up headers on the kaimana and installed on the panel
2:00 finished wiring LEDs
2:15 finished wiring all the buttons and joystick
2:30… testing, the movie you see

Bad ass. I can’t wait to install this system.

Ok, so… how many display animations do you have already?

I’m ok with the push-n-light-up and this rainbow for display… but how many options will be loaded to the Kaimana board?

I know is too soon to ask… but I have to give it a shot… do you have an estimated price for the kits with board, leds and harness?

I went to the website and started throwing money at the screen, but nothing’s happening… Whyyyy!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

with a usb port you can load anything you want… This is open source arduino, so you can change anything… It’s hard to explain how many possibilities.
One simple example is you can have 16million different colors for each button.
We expect about a dozen animations posted within a week, and loading them is two seconds with a USB cable.

The idea was not to have multiple animations loaded so with fewer options easily loaded you can create much more complicated animations.

I like the open source idea… I’ve already got some ideas for animations in my head, and I’m looking forward to coding them!

@PlayDoh003 awesome, we will launch tomorrow, the programming downloads section will go up Wednesday!

Here is the idea… We think open source is the way to go, let’s face it the fighting community is incredibly creative so in my mind they need a tool to show that creativity, more than a restricted set of options to choose from.

We also want to reward people for their programs. So if you come up with a new set of code, and send it to us. We will offer it for free download (people will need to add it to a cart, but it will be 100% free. This is to prevent bots from overloading the downloads). As more people download the code, you will earn store credit. We may even have some fun competitions with prizes for the most downloaded code each month.

In addition, I will also be adding to the library. I have ideas that we are programming, the one you saw above is one of them. These will continue to grow. This is a truly a platform, not just a product. We are going to be adding a great number of products to the Kaimana product line over time. The options with this board are almost unlimited.

We have another announcement that we hope to make in a few weeks for a new idea in the community…

Well, I don’t know a thing about arduino or how to code it… but I’m good learning things so, I hope to learn at least the basics.

And yeah, open source is the best way to make things happen!!!

Can’t wait to see what happens when people get their hands on these. I wish we could have a countdown or something =]

Got my webcam working this is how I’ve got the pele’s working in my little mago case

higher quality demo…

ooooo pretty!

Just for clarity, the Kaimana Js aren’t compatible with PS-14-KNs, right? If they are then I’m doing something wrong, am I just being dense?

yup, they aren’t, I use pele’s on mine. it’s also not very compatible with Sanwa’s because of plastic material blocking the way, but it fits, just not as secure as PS-14-K’s

Thanks, just wanted to be sure that I’m not just being slow.

Thanks for the info and here I was about to order the wrong leds but I’ll make sure the get pele’s.

I will post pictures of each board installed on each button it will work with to show installation as well as lighting characteristics tonight. That way people can make the appropriate choices. However I have to admit Jyueeang buttons with clear plungers, Kaimana Js and Sanwa micro switches are pretty much the bomb. Look amazing and feel great. That’s what filmed in the demo. Plus the all clear Jyueeang with Sanwa micros are cheap.

If I ran a special… Led hollow shafts, with Balltop, led, Rgb or single color, and a Kaimana adapter board included, for 15 each would people be interested?
Question 2, can I convince Susan this is a good idea… Lol

Hey Susan, I sent a package a few days back returning a few obs plungers in exchange for some sanwa clear plungers. Just wondering if you guys got the package.
