@hibachifinal are you using the Pele LED’s ? I like the screw terminals on both sides. Do the board come with them, or did you have to get them yourself? keep it coming guys.

Did anyone figure out the hardware easter egg on the kaimana j board

@armi0024 With the kaimana, new LED’s, and wiring, will there be full/partial kits or is it purchased as individual parts? How will this be priced?

yup im using pele’s with the converter boards, and i asked for the screw terminals instead of the pins.
okay, i just i double checkd my wiring, and followed the video again, uploaded the .ino file into the board, but im not getting anything, i didn’t touch any of the code though. probably something i missed, hrmm…

thanks for the quick reply. I like the screw terminals, that will be my setup as well. Also am I looking that this correctly… the board is setup for dual sticks? If so, you’re the effing man Armi if not than it must be a passthrough to like the PS360+? Either way you still the man LOL.

Pass through, we will have a much larger mame controller with 8 outputs that will handle a lot more power in the future though.

Jwyder, 34.95 for the kaimana board LEDs and other accessories. These will be available as a kit and piece meal. My goal is a kit that will let even novices hook up LEDs. These guys got minimal instruction, very minimal, so I will be using the questions and issues to help make sure installs only get easier. Once they get them running I can almost guarrantee they will say, crap that would have been easy if I just…

Hibachi make sure you have power going to the daisy chain also.

Oh, screw down headers will be an option. There will be an upcharge but we haven’t determined how much, those buggers are not cheap!

I’ll have my package on Monday. My brother, who moved into my old home, loves me way too much and overnighted it to me.

I’m totally saving the adapter boards for experiments with some experiments with HBFS-30 LED setups!

@armi0024

Can we just snip everything except for the Ground and a Power from one of our small harnesses and connect those from the unused header on the Kaimana to VCC and GND somewhere in the stick: Such as those points on a PS360+ or (if the board is already connected to those points on a PS360+) on the board itself?

Like so:

-redacted-

You made it pretty clear, but I wanted to make sure I have the right idea in my head.

WOW… Just WOW!!! That price is great Armi!!!

I can’t wait for more info on this… ARRRRGGG!!!

Yeah I figured it was pass through after I calmed down LOL. as for the screw down I feel you. I can get them on ebay real cheap so that want be a problem. I just need to know how much will the adapter will cost since I have IL2 LED’s

@fearless something happened when I posted, I am in the middle of nowhere typing on my phone,
The kaimana board is 34.95, other LEDs and accessories have yet to be determined in price. We will be putting some very attractive kits together though, very attractive rates.

Deboro, you should only need to jump the power.

Scew downs will probably only be 3 per side add on, 6 for all 4 10 pole screw downs.

Looking forward to more pics!

OK I’ll change that. But you do need the ground if your doing it directly from the chain, correct?

you guys can see the progress being made on the Kaimana Wiki, here: http://support.paradisearcadeshop.com/doku.php?id=kaimana_led_controller

here is the new image:

Best to use it if you have another power source only because otherwise you will force everything down the USB bus

Still, that’s a great price for the board alone Armi

Trying to pull off a ful led mod for around 60, including cabling and everything, 24mm included, but not RGB joystick, we will be running some specials on RGB joys when this releases

So the method in the new image is our best bet?

Yes but can be either of the two left pins in.either connector

Got it I’ll make a small edit to the image and note that in the wiki.

I was curious why my LEDs weren’t lighting up, thanks for the info for adding power to the chain!
I’ll get some pics of it when its all set up.

Finally got mine running, will have pics of setup and everything else soon!

If you jumped power and are still getting the problem then check the code you uploaded and redefine the pins of the LEDS here:

0 is the first pin in the array (in this case its down) so for me K4 is 0 and K3 is 1; the 1st and 2nd LED from the board respectively.

I had mine hooked up to one of the right 2 since the chain has them labeled at VCC
Also I had mine only jumped to VCC w/o ground and its running fine, but if anyone else can comment on this that’d be great!

^btw @Pnoy Pryde how did you make the kaimana J’s “stay in place” for the buttons? just curious what you did to yours. (i tried it on my sanwas and they ofc were too loose)
