Paradise Arcade Shop, LED Joysticks, Buttons, Mods and more

deBoru,

I don’t need THAT much power! lol
What I want for LED is a simple lightup pattern of the buttons with possible pattern and color swapping… and I already have the art design locked down for it, too. I would be giving it away mentioning what I want to mimic or the general theme of the art panel.
IF I go ahead with the mod, it will be time to open up the HRAP V3 SA and order a plexi from Art…

What I designed over a year ago is the only art set-up for the HRAP V3 that I like.
It was a pain-in-the-butt to cobble up but it would be the project that gets me to remove the original artwork sticker (which gets rubbed out anyway because of constant abrasion from the joystick hand; as little as I’ve used that joystick I can definitely see where the texture on the rub area is definite from the rest of the panel… I’ll probably scan in the art face sticker and repair it in Photoshop just for posterity in case I ever decide to revert to the original art)…
That stick ended up being the only V3 SA I cared to buy from Hori at any rate… The other HRAP’s are much better than that V-stick design. I’ve gone over 3 times already why I didn’t care for the HRAP V3 design in other threads and won’t repeat my reasons again.
LOVED the HRAP VLX Diamond in the end but I like the blue panel too much to futz with it… That is probably the nicest joystick I’ve bought, period! Probably would get Skeleton buttons for it seeing as I already have an LS-32-01 in that joystick case and might as well make it an all-Seimitsu panel. That and the original VLX (which I don’t own and probably wouldn’t buy at this point in time) would also be good candidates for an LED mod but right now I’m settled into just doing the one.
It’s an expensive hobby!

The goal of these LED boards is to create a community source of fun codes and programs that are easy enough for anyone to install… We will see…

I’m not sure on the Canada shipping cost, but email Susan she can help set you up. sales@paradisearcadeshop.com

I was wondering about the size of the scorpion ball tops. The website says the spiny spider is 35mm but I got 38mm one. Is the scorpion version the same. I was going to get one of each in different sizes. But just wanted to confirm the sizes first.

I just got the twist and modded my arcade stick. I have to say, it is a lot better than the quick link disconnect probably because of it’s ability to have a shaft cover to go along with it and incredibly Battop-friendly. Having 3 options of length shaft is a plus. The only bad things about it is almost easy to untightened the grip from its base to the screw and the twist shaft scratching inside of the shaft cover while rotating. Other than that its all great. Thanks PAS!

I got a question, I know you guys are busy, but when are you guys getting IL short barrels?

I’m interested in your products, but your website only loads half the time.

Also, I need a lighted button that I can use as a substitute for a 360 home button. So basically, it has to have at least 2 different light optons for 1st and 2nd player, but 4 is preferable. Also, it will be battery powered, so it should only operate on 3 volts max. And something smaller is ideal, since the home key is rarely used.

@Yellowcan they should be 35 and 40’s… I’ll double check

@Fallingup glad you enjoyed the Twist. We will post a tutorial on tightening your twist with a shaft cover installed soon!

@Evolution169 Thanks for the interest. I’m not sure if anyone else is carrying LED’s right now, but we do have them, and the Pele rings have two sets of connectors, one for 5v and one without resistors so you can set your own voltage. If you are running a hit box we are the only store offering premade LEDs for 24mm buttons. Combine the LEDs with our custom 24mm silencers for some fun

To everyone, evidently our host site is having problems with database integrity and it’s causing big problems with our store. We are doing everything we can to get a new store up and running. I expect to have something working by Monday… not polished but working. All accounts, products and orders will be ported to the new store. We will launch with a logo “placeholder”… maybe a draw the paradise logo contest is in order

Well I assume the spiny spider is suppose to be 38mm given that there is only one size available. Thanks for clearing that up.

Just to thank Armi and Susan for the extreme fast shipping on some missing micros from my past order.

And hey Armi, I know this could be hard to pull but still, have you consider to have a day of the week for show new products and obviously become available in the store instead of just a “during next week, month, etc” ?

This will give us the opportunity to be prepare with money to buy more parts and components from your store.

Cheers for the new led board and the redesign of the store and still waiting to see the whole Seimitsu buttons lineup.

Question movies or instructional guides?
We’ve typically done movies on youtube to show how to use some of our products. They are just simple homemade things filmed on our production desk. Do people prefer movies or guides?

@Fearless Glad things worked that well. I think most people who ordered are surprised at how cheap and how fast shipping is from us. I know Susan has got the order turn around moving, but one thing that is important for shipping is the time to an aiport. All our packages go on a plane the night they are shipped. This means they are usually sitting in a local airport to you the next day.

As far as the products idea, That’s probably not a bad idea, but then I’ll have to sit on things :frowning: lol. Let me talk to Susan about her thoughts on this. Sometimes I think we need top post old stuff too  With the recent drive for bringing Seimitsu parts “stateside” I don’t think most people know that we carry over a dozen lines of Seimitsu, and have had many of them since 2011.

Yeah, I mean, not only new parts or components… you can include announcements about restocks, best sellers and old parts too.

And when I saw the Seimitsu with flat plunger I was surprised to see them here, as far as I can recall, only AkiShop handle them and well, I prefer to buy stuff from the US sellers.

But still, hoping to see the complete Seimitsu lineup, I have some projects in hold waiting for more options and crazy ideas.

Cheers and keep going!!!

Tell us what you need, we are happy to add on!

Thanks for the quick response! I don’t usually even get answers that fast on eBay.

I’ll definitely be placing an order once you get the server issues resolved. But maybe you can answer one more question for me. Is it easy to add artwork to the SANWA OBSC 24 buttons? I see that it’s possible with Seimitsu, but I don’t know about Sanwa.

Yeah it’s just as easy. The Sanwa clears are like Seimitsu in that they both have an opaque plastic plunger behind the clear surface. The difference is in the tint of the plastic and the architecture of the plunger. Seimitsu is a basic and easy to use design, Sanwa kinda has a snap on button face.

The shipping is one of the main reasons (besides all the custom parts) that order from PSA. Three day flat rate shipping for $6 to ohio, it’s hard to beat that.

Thanks! I was worried about that.

I just got my order in today and everything is great (thanks for the chocolate). But the paradise obs plungers some of them get stuck in the housing and others barely move when pressing the button. I didn’t know if this is normal or not.
Edit: After testing the plungers in different buttons, one of them is working properly. Others are still getting stuck or barely moving.

Can you post a picture or elaborate a bit more? I’m not understanding why the plungers would get stuck. Are you talking about the aluminum plunger caps?

It’s these

The only thing I can think of is that the edges are jagged because of the molding process, that may be interfering with the sides of the housing. I was thinking of smoothing down the edges with a file and see if that helps.

The edges of the plungers can have flash from the mold, Susan typically catches those but our new packers may have sent those through. Give Susan a call at 6513323665 and she can walk you through trimming them. A small file at the base is all that is needed.
