I love this week! I took maaaaad days off and quit two jobs since tuesday and have just been bumming around lately. Summer is so good!

The new city and spring valley crew said they were good friends with those people and that they’d ask em. So i figure, our chances are better if they ask. Josh told me today he’d ask them soon, soooo… i dunno
also, i dunno about being able to play on friday. Haven’t quite figured out what i’m gonna be up to that day, but there’ve been many parties lately, so i might end up at one of those. Actually, i’ve been to a party every night since tuesday, and i owe it all to not working ^^

i dont post much on srk, but i’ve been around for a bit…
me and some friends of mine have been playing MvC2 and CvS2 on consoles for a while in the Spring Valley/Pomona/New City area (we all went to Ramapo High), but i wasnt aware until now that there was some organized stuff going on here. we go to the Palisades a lot, mostly to X-Zone to play CS though, and we sometimes go to the arcade (but the MvC2 machine is always messed up and the CvS2 machine’s fierce buttons are broken…). i’m definitely going to this tourney on saturday with at least one other person, but i can probably get up to 5 total.
Hey guys, sorry i’ve been so lax in posting!
I took like a week off from work and i usually just post from my office when i’m bored… hehehe
First, I want to give a hearty shout to State of Nature. Orion, myself and SoN met up at the mall on tuesday and played a spot of MvC2, and even after Orion left, SoN and I played like another hour and then finished up with some hard-core hacky-sack. Amazing stuff man, you’ve got to come back up sometime!
Second, later that night, i met, for the first time, Lockdown, who is also the man. I’m sorry you can’t make the tourney on saturday, and i hope you get that computer fixed so you can read this post
mjedi84: i’m glad you’re coming to the tourney, the SF scene in rockland is fucking BOOMING! Bring your friends and such, it’ll be a blast. You should check out our tourney announcement and post up there.

I got my ass handed to me by one Arturo Sanchez on Sunday at the port authority.
There was a line of people just getting rocked by that guy and he OCV’d me with sentinel one match without much problem. The only time i really hurt him was the first match when he accidentally got storm in a sentinel air combo ^^

How are they anyway? I mean, are they as good as hiro and I, as good as you, or worse then all of us. I’m just asking because i wanna know what kinda odds i have for the tourney.
and, I’ve never played a sentinel that good. never. The best i did against him was to take out a character’s worth of energy among his three. What happened when you played him, other than the obvious.
extra: for the first time ever, i mashed capcom’s kick throw to 80% against computer Juggernaut. The throw kept going for like three seconds after juggy was dead and i had stopped mashing.
nice…cant wait for a session…
anyways, all of my guys [team tufts…hehe] are equal…since we play each other all the time, every day…we are all about the same skill level…although i think thats changed a bit since the semester ended cuz they only play like once a week now and ive played play somewhat consistently [plus tourneys]…but give them a few matches and they should be back on track…hehe…but we all play different styles…so it should be interesting…
actually, i beat his sent…and almost killed his storm too…but i dunno…friggin psylocke assist just killed me…esp since i had no idea how to play against his team [sent/storm/psy]…his sent is good…but all ctf guys play it the same so i had some experience against it…however, seattle sent is just nasty…i couldnt do SHIT against any of the seattle guys…imo seattle sent >>>>> ny sent…
80%, eh?..haha…thats better than any of us ever got…we tried mashing that shit and the most we could get was like 60% and that was on kobun…o well…
mashing throws don’t work against people, only computer…
your opponent will always mash out of the extra damage, or just tech hit…
and yeah, CTF sent is too good…
I can’t speak for seattle, but Ive seen some vids of Rodolfo, and they’re really good too…
I played Sanford, and his sentinel was doing all kinds of shit against me…
combo vid kind of shit…
it was insane…

Yeah, i dunno what it was. The sticks at the arcade are really loose, so maybe that had something to do with it.
See, this one match i had against State of Nature ended with both of us with capcoms 1 on 1 with about equal energy. He played keepaway and i tried to get him in the kick throw. I finally hit it but only got like 20% energy.
Then he went to get like a suit or something and i practiced against the computer, getting like 40-50% until finally, i hit the BIG ONE!
anyway, its blunt-time.

Hehe, i remember a couple of times, back when your hair was dyed and we didn’t know each other, you and your crew came and played marvel against me and hiro and sometimes alex.
You used to talk so much shit about top tier this and that and how my magneto sucked because i wasn’t grav-tempesting… but we still messed shit up.
