Hah, if the competition in Wayne is nearly as pathetic as the comp at palisades center, i’ll o.c.v. the first match and everyone will leave to play CvS2.
Case in point:
Yesterday afternoon i went to the arcade and there was a group of people gathered around MvC2. First round i saw was two scrubs playing each other with joke teams. The winner was using Wolvie, Strider, Guile. Then this other guy steps up and picks like BH, Cable, and some other TT (Sent. maybe). Since i’m next in the rotation, i’m figuring i’ll get a match against someone who knows how to play at least.
Obviously, the person with the low tier team won and the other guy left the machine before the match was even finished. Not that the winner was any good, both players were basically mashing the buttons artlessly and the only reason why the scrub won was because he knew how to throw and block properly. Then i came on and ocv’d the other guy and about 5 people left the machine in a hurry.
The moral of the story: you can’t just go to SRK and pick up guaranteed-to-work strategies here without learning the basics first and then practicing these harder strats against better opponents. I’m sick of this shit, nobody’s willing to spend some money and lose a couple of matches in return for learning to play properly anymore. That’s why Team Palisades sucks.
Advent your are right, Team Palisades sucks…Lol Never said I was part of the “team” though, They are plenty of people I can name off the top of my head, that would hand you that ass…str8 up…The Palisades Comp sucks, been established since they built the place. It’s a damn mall, random people come to play and usuallly dont know what theyre doing, I remember I came to play some kid videotaping matches like them shitz were worth watching…?.. Comp is so bad…half the time I beat people with a broken joystick that plagues that arcade. i think the arcade in wayne is what will was talking to me about once…i remember him saying something about a whole bunch of mvc2 machines all with working buttons…im still wondering about these sessions hes talking about that happen in some guys house…he gave me his number, i guess ill call him when im back…

everybody chill, i guess there really is no team considering all the hate for this arcade but in my view the ‘‘team’’ would be the people who play there on a regular basis, theres some damn good ones too, 90% of the time yer gonna find some worthless scrub player but i wouldnt consider them on the ‘‘team’’,

Anyway, i hear that “more shit to do than video games” part better than anything. Usually i’ll make a run to the arcade for an hour or two before primetime on the weekends, like 4 or 5 on a saturday. Otherwise, i guess i’ll make plans to head to wayne in the near future.
On that note, xMo0xMo0x, whaddya think, i’m hiro? Just cause he can’t handle the skills doesn’t mean that you can forget who’s your daddy, regardless of how many semesters you spend training. Even with aj huge portion of this year off, my b&b skills made your fancy-boy show slow down. Lets go up to Wayne and meet the crowd there while we’re settling our own score.
Oh yeah, and i figured out how to beat the shit out of our favorite IM/Cable/Cyclops player: cammy assist. Works like a charm.

I did, however, get 12 wins with Bonerine/Thanos/Sentinel before they showed up…
too bad I was only playing scrubs and people who’ve played mvc2 like once or twice in their lives…

but yeah, the old guy who “fixes” the machines said that night that he would have the machine fixed on monday…

bonerine/sent is toooo powerful…bonerine ALONE is hardcore…but with sent assist hes just nasty…i hate fighting bonerine/sent teams…i remember pryde using that team to fuck around and got like 20 wins or something…too bad only a few ppl in the world know how to use bonerine correctly…o well…

Yeah, that was my friend and I. He doesn’t post here though. We really whupped some ass that night. Were you the guy who played teams with two low tiers and one top tier? I’ve got a lot of respect for that kinda play, low tier matches are massively fun.

Come on! Nearly every time I play I expect to lose, and I do burn a lot of money trying to learn things. Don’t make it seem like no one tries to get better at the game, that’s the whole reason to go to the arcade, in my eyes at least. Bah.
In any event, it was a horror to see the state that the CvS2 machine was in last friday. It’s no wonder we don’t always get good stuff around the mall. The machine was beaten to s–t. Player 2 had random fierce punches, and attempting to run was a joke. My only hope is that the guy really did fix it.
Ohhhh, tell me you were the guy using Anakiris! That was splendid playing if it was you. My friend and I were commenting on your technique for a while after we left.

I was just generalizing. Didn’t mean to ignore the few-and-far-between who actually are interested in playing the old-way instead of just jumping from shitty machine to shitty machine. I sound like an old man though.
