Pakistani doctor who led U.S. to Bin Laden's hideout is jailed for 33 YEARS (for treason)

giving shitbag terrorists and tribal warlords money has been the most successful counter-terror strategy.

this implicitly implies and/or assumes that he was working for the pakistani government and stealing information from them, which is in fact counter to what he was doing.

…so did the Pakistani doctor at least get dat bounty $$$

No, the $10 million bounty was given to a US informant working for al qaeda who somehow managed to get bin laden’s Pakistani address. The Pakistani doctor helped to aquire Bin ladens DNA to prove he was living at that location.

sigh No it does not. If YOU were today to disclose classified US information or documents, **YOU **would risk being indicted or subpoenaed at the very least. You would almost be guaranteed to be followed around, spied on A-la Will Smith in Enemy of the State and meet an “unfortunate accident”. This is whether you worked directly for the US government or not. Such is the open ended interpretation of the espionage act.

Obviously each government has their own policies. Pakistan’s is to interpret it directly as treason. And they are right to, it’s what it is. Disagree? Cool. I can’t be assed to preach logic anymore

It’s easy to “preach logic” when all you’re doing is attacking the straw man -_-
