I couldn’t find a thread about this after my exhaustive 30 second search, so I thought I would make one.

First of all, has ANYONE seen any actual footage of this movie yet?? Seems like they got this thing on lock down and are only releasing production stills and posters.
As far as I know it’s about giant robots fighting giant monsters and it’s directed by Guillermo del Toro and stars Idris Elba… well he’s probably a supporting actor, it looks like some white dude (surprise) and his inevitable sexy Asian love interest (bigger surprise) will get most of the screen time. :bluu:

Other than that, I have always been a fan of Del Toro and Elba so that might be enough for me to shell out the money to see this bastard.

Looks like a mix of the good parts of Evangelion, and what everyone thought Cloverfield was gonna be from the misleading teaser. And Stringer in a Crysis suit. Unmitigated hype.

I thought this was Cloverfield 2, wasn’t too keen on the teaser because of the over editing but I’m looking forward to the movie.

Saw the trailer, so this is basically Evangelion vs Godzilla without them having to pay for the rights to do so.

Though “Gypsy Danger” gives me this sort of “Air Man” vibe with that big ass fan up its grill.

I’m surprised they didn’t use the airhorn sound effect in the trailer. So perfect for this movie.

Jax Teller is in the mech tho.

Hopefully it is less Eva and more it’s own thing. Eva wasn’t good IMO.
