i’m not surprised at all. asians only have minimal awareness of things that surround them and even when they are aware they generally don’t give a fuck about any thing or one besides themselves. i see old people eating shit (read: falling) on the subway stairs fairly regularly and nobody ever stops to help them or even check if they’re ok. it’s even worse if you’re expecting people to be good samaritans and hold a door for you or help you carry something heavy up a flight of stairs.
that said, if you’re not asian looking, you’re 1000% as likely to have someone try to help you do something…equally as likely to be needlessly harrassed though.

I don’t recall saying he wasn’t allowed to post his opinion. Just that it came off with a tone of morality superiority when he said he was trying to avoid that and that he was trying to be objective despite the fact it would have been pretty easy to take China to task for all its monstrous bullshit without any of that type of tone.

I’m not attacking asia here i know similar issues have happened here and i just want to do all i can to ensure it does not happen again ever regardless of race or geographical location.

Granted this happens everywhere but white shadow’s earlier analysis is spot on. People in crowded cities tend to be cold hearted assholes (see NYC). Add on top of that China’s ever worsening poverty for the lower class, the cut throat competition required to rise above the masses and escape from the shitty rat race, the rampant corruption and indifference from officials, and you’ve got crappy shit like this.
In general, avoid heavy metropolitan cities like NYC, and go to more suburban places, and people are just going to be more friendly and caring. You have to be a callous dickweed to survive in the big cities, so more bad shit naturally happens there. Same is true in China.

I saw this yesterday before the thread was posted. Shit is rage inducing. Of course it’s not exactly surprising that something like this happens (and worse shit happens all over the world), but seeing it caught on camera is pretty shocking. Videos like that make me have no hope for humanity sometimes.
