Yeah, I know I’ve only posted hatemail here so far, but the amount of positive messages I get from random people through player matches and champ mode on PC have been surprsingly high.
Also, I just fought a Gief… who did nothing but that neutral jump headbutt until I got within C.Spiking range, and then played keepaway with lariat and various normals. D: If he managed to land a hit, then he’d run away and keep doing neutral jump headbutt as I approached. Awesome. >.>
when I play SF4 online, I write down who used Gief. Next time I see them I pick Sagat. Easy win. In tournaments I counter pick with Sagat. I should be able to do the same online lol. I fall for the neutral jump ultra way too often

Just got back from a little gaming festival my alma mater’s gaming club likes to throw… Ended up taking 5th out of a 30+ man SF4 tourney held there. Not too shabby, considering today was my first time playing live comp in months since my fighting game group broke up.
I beat a Gief, a Ken, and then took out one of my sparring partners’ Bison/Ryu. I then fought the Ryu who would take 2nd overall and got it all the way to the last set, last round after some pretty crazy comebacks (down to 20% health, then I just went crazy and got a dizzy into full TKCS c.HP etc. combo) but lost in the end. I think I burned out after that set, haha, because I easily got peaced out by another Gief in losers semi’s after that.
But yeah, playing Cammy is exhausting… but so fun. I think she’s definitely a crowd pleaser too - I was trying to tune things out during my matches, but when I’d take a breath of relief after winning those close rounds I’d hear the crowd roaring, lol.

Had the last local team tourney of the year (singles are tomorrow). Beat a Seth to save my team for one round but then got peaced by a Rufus because I got a little overzealous with too little life left (never forget that Jesus Saves) - I also taunted which I think enraged him, haha. In loser’s bracket, I took out a Rog to make it to the next set, and then beat a Gief too in a good match. Ultimately got peaced by another Rog because of his tick throw shenanigans, and I just refused to throw out a Spike in case he was baiting, lol. Was still fun, and was happy to beat some of my worse matchups. I gotta be more careful against Rufus though; not only about EX MK, but his air-to-air priority is some of the best in the game. I can’t think of anyone better.
Oh well, tomorrow’s the big showdown. I’ll be pimpin’ the British tomorrow (and maybe some Air Force One).

I was at the active gamers LA party tonight. Hella fun. Saw James chen there, he saw me lose to flo (final set final round). I then had a good run at another station, beating a Ken, Fuerte, Chun and finally losing to ShadyK’s Sagat. I then had a grudge match against Hugo101, a very strong Bison who destroyed me at the last tournament. Ended with me winning on a double KO. I then had a victory dance, a guy offered to buy me a shot and went home a happy man.
Let’s see how I do tomorrow.
Oh btw, looks like I’ll be on the ugtl live stream on Sunday. Were going to do a 5v5v5 match. Should be fun…

hydro mentioned to me that he plays against Allen from time to time, so he knew the match. I’m going to have to play viscant’s blanka. I realize tournament blankas, I have no experience against. I had a lot of fun, despite how slow the tournament went. James and I got some mirror matches in. James was very salty today.

personally it’s all taunt 3 for me… and i only use it when i get dizzy’s “Weak!” as she shows her ass lol.
Regarding the Geif comments, I had a Geif complain to me for using hit and run tactics against him. When I asked him if I was supposed to slug it out with him toe-to-toe he complained about chasing people or some shit. I’m like, duh man, you use GEIF!

RE: Cammy army - I’m definitely in support of taunt 3 as well - apparently I enjoy it when fast, blond characters call their opponent weak (aka, I played Millia in GG, lol).
But yeah, friggin’ Gief. I need to remember to play footsies with s.MK and autocancel normals when he won’t take my jumpin bullshit baits.
