I recieved some abuse from a Geif player as he was spamming clotheslines so I would walk up and cannon spike/cannon drill him every time and he sent me a message calling me a dick who only used one move!
May have been partly true in this case, but it was one move that beat his one!
LOL!.. i had a similar situation a while back with a Sagat… tho the hate mail was recorded (voice)… the guy took the time to spew his “thoughts” about our match… (it was some weird accent… Australian maybe…)

Anyways, I kept running into this one guy in Champ Mode. He went through a bunch of characters: Sagat, Ryu, Blanka… and then finally, he decided to pick Cammy. Cue a million blocked Spiral Arrows for free throws and blocked C.Spikes for free Ultras, lol. Then he sends me this:

Hey fellow Cammy players,
just wanted to say I’m retiring from SF for a while. I think I’ve peaked and can’t seem to get any better, no matter how many hours are spent in training mode. I think Cammy is a bit too advanced for me, but seeing as she’s the only character I like, I’m gonna hang up my controller for a while and try some other activities. Best of luck to you guys and keep the Cammy pride alive!!

Sad to hear you putting down the controller, but sometimes it helps. Stepping away from something for a small period of time actually helps a lot. I found that out from my Beatmania days. The other day I was playing HD Remix with bunch of SRK members and everyone had a great time, what a tension release from hours of grinding with Cammy in SF4 (and reminded me how GDLK Cammy was in HD Remix, I was owning everyone with Cammy including Hondas, I was in bliss that night).
Maybe we can play some HD Remix to get over “Cammy Fatigue”.

Playing Cammy in HDR and than going back to SFIV just puts me in an even worse mood because of how bad she is in IV compared to HDR.
Woa woa woa… Hold the phone. Cammy is high mid-tier in SFIV. I rank her squarely at #11 out of 25 characters – the highest ranked character who is not in the top tier – and I’m not even exaggerating. She’s pretty substantially buff in SFIV. In HDR, I rank her in bottom tier. In fact, most people do. I feel so buff using Cammy in SFIV compared to Cammy in HDR.
Hell no… Cammy was way better in HD Remix than in 4. She may be rated as low tier but in actual play I believe she’s way higher. Look at Syxx573’s (probably one of the best Cammy in the US) regional tournament record, he won most of them using ONLY Cammy. From my own experience at Evo, I placed much higher in HD Remix than 4 even though I haven’t played HDR in months before entering Evo. Back when HD Remix was the only game in town, my HD Remix Cammy was fairly even against many of the good players from SRK. My SF4 Cammy is just average or below average compare to most SRK members.
Play MvsC2 then play SF4. That makes me cry far far worse.
But if in actual play she is higher, then she shouldn’t be ranked so low, correct?
I mean, Sanford beat Daigo using Cammy twice. By the logic of going off of one person’s performance, you can’t get any better than that. It means she’s viable as a real character. Of course, I don’t think that’s a valid argument basing the quality of a character off of ONE person’s performance, but then that negates syxx’s performances as well.
Overall, as a character, she has way more viability in SFIV than in HDR, IMO. But maybe it’s just because I’ve gotten used to her in SFIV. I dunno, when I beat people in that game, oftentimes I feel like I BEAT people in SFIV. Not because my character happens to do ridiculous damage off of Hooligan Throws like in HDR, but because I actually outsmarted and played better than my opponent. I never felt like I played better than my opponent when I win with Cammy in HDR. I just happen to have a new buff that makes a move ridiculously safe and my damage wasn’t nerfed from when my damage was high because I wasn’t a good character. Maybe I’d feel differently these days if I tried Cammy in HDR again, but I just feel like she is a shell of her former self in HDR, since all of the tools I personally used to use a lot got nerfed.
But even if it IS just my interpretation that Cammy sucks in HDR because all my favorite tricks get me killed now, why does everyone always rate her so darn low in the HDR Tier List thread? No one seems willing to place her mid tier or anything above bottom tier.
I dunno. I can’t get past the nerf to Jumping Strong and the Uppercut. I’m still sooooooo bitter about those changes. Completely unjustified IMO.
meh i played cammy in MvC 1 on mame, shes so good there. much safer moves =( even on sfa3 they are safer than sf4
olololol xbox died I only have PC right now. Sad Face. Weird though, a friend of mine called me up asking if I wanted to buy an xbox off of him. I think he bought it with a ton of problems, fixed it up and going to sell it cheap.
