I actually think Cammy Vs. Seth is 5-5, maybe 6-4 in Cammy’s favor. I honestly do. She has so many ways to screw over Seth, it’s not even funny. You can’t get much better than Arturo Sanchez with Seth, and I went toe to toe with him in that match. Granted, Arturo was REALLY out of practice with Seth at the time, but I just think she has the tools to beat him really well. Am I the only one that feels that way?

Seth feels like an Akuma to me when I play against him. You can think of his j.back fierce as air fireballs and his booms/ground stretch arms as regular fireballs. Both Seth and Akuma are really susceptible to Cammy’s Ultras and EX SAs. Once Cammy has her Ultra metered, you basically shut down their aerial shenanigans and Seth’s ground game is not as strong as Akuma’s due to his slow walk speed and his unsafe ground specials (the vacuum thing can be spiked, his magic legs can be punished on block, his long arms can be focused etc). The only thing on the ground going for Seth is his weaker version of the SPD.

I would say Seth vs Cammy is 5-5, mainly because Seth can play a very defensive game like an runaway Akuma and just chip you to death and use the clock against Cammy. Seth also has one of the safest Ultra in the game and can be done on reaction against whiffed anything except lp or lk.

I agree. Keep him out of the sky with cannon spike, find his patterns (does he like to use standing fierce after a sonic boom? yes! psychic DP time; does he have a favorite place to throw out sonic booms? psychic/reactionary ex hooligan or spiral arrow; does he like to jump back fierce when you get to about mid-range? yes! psychic DP part 2, the return!; et cetera, so on and so forth), and molest him on ukemi. I actually love this match-up. A smart Seth can keep you out, but he needs to take some potentially fatal risks to keep you out. It’s one of those match-ups that’s all about maintaining a health lead too, and whoever has it makes it hell for the opposite. 5-5 at worst for Cammy, imo.

i play some seth too and im not sure its in cammy favour. seth is just way better as runaway compared to akuma. if he want be a lamer he can just keep spamming sonics and teleporting everytime u getting close, or jump in the corner becoming basically unhittable, also im noticing his grabs have high priority on most of the specials at least on first frames.
if u can get in u do tons of damage but problem is getting in. and he can teleport on wakeup aswell

It is more in Cammy’s favor vs Seth than it is with Akuma due to a couple reasons. First if he can hit you with jumping fierce you can hit him with cannon spike. Second is any hit or combo you land on him is as damaging to him as gief is to us, he can’t really afford to be hit by anyone.

That said, yeah runaway Seth can be very annoying.

It seems like a pretty even matchup to me. I like her footsies and I think she can play offense against Gief better than most characters. I think her dive kick game is more dangerous than Rufus’ because of Cammy’s lower height and the fact that she can hit Gief from farther away than Rufus’s divekicks can. I don’t think it’s true that turtling Gief beats her at all.

I’m starting to do okay against Sagat. If they get a life lead, then I tk strike on the other side for meter. If I can nickel and dime them a bit, then maybe I’ll use super as a punish. Otherwise I save it for the next round.

Cross up cannon strikes is my new favorite move. I played Allen a little, and we were crossing eachother up with cannon strikes.

? Throws are too easy to land in Capcom’s eyes and they plan to tweak some things to fix this. Ono wants jumps to have fewer startup frames.

Anyone feel this might hurt Cammy a bit since her game revolves around TK cannon strike/throw mix up?

yeah, it feels like throws may get nerfed, which will nerf Cammy. Hopefully they’ll balance her out to where she doesn’t need to constantly tick throw.

from what i heard tkcs is a sort of bug, so they would have remove it anyway

I’m hoping that the throw thing is just a typo / something lost in translation or they get rid of option select low tech to offset this… because hell, throws being too weak is the one thing Daigo consistently complains about when asked about SF4. If the dev team claims that listening to the audience/players is one of their goals, that should certainly include top Jp players, at least.

after reading the post, I think they’re talking about making the throws weaker by letting the jumps have less frames. Maybe that means when whiffing jumps, mashing throw won’t the best option anymore haha

I doubt it, especially considering how Rufus’ divekicks work (Even if they didn’t originally intend them to be combo’d off that well, they embraced it by the time SF4 was released on console).

These rumors of throws being nerfed are just as bad as talk of Sagat being top tier again at this point.

Nice matches but the day his opponents know how to punish hooligan for free , how to beat canon drills and canon strike , things will be lot different :lol:
