When you start the first of the Best of 3, you will have had to already made sure that your Random Stage Select is limited to the neutral options. I believe that this random only kicks in online if both players choose Random: If only one person chooses Random it counts as a forfeiture of their stage pick. I will let you know for sure later.

We will begin with the Smash 3DS tournament at 9:30, finish that, then start the Wii U tournament shortly after 3DS finishes. THOSE THAT ENTERED WII U WILL STILL NEED TO BE HERE AT 9:15 TO HEAR THE RULES. If you want to leave and wait for your tournament, fine, but since we have no way of effectively contacting you, you might miss your window and be disqualified.

Why the fuck is Find Mii legal, but Gerudo Valley and Coneria are banned?!? How is a stage with random power-ups and de-buffs legal, but those aren’t?
Golden Plains is more fair than Find Mii… At least you have to earn that power up…
Kongo Jungle is not a neutral… that stage has caused me more problems than all of Ridley and Metal Face combined… and Luigi’s is banned, but coward’s paradise Jungle Hijinx is a counter-pick?

I’ve elaborated very clearly my stance on the stages I banned. Most have Cave of life or Camping problems.
But I’ll quickly sum up why Corneria and Gerudo are gone.
Corneria is a campy dream as well as having stupid close borders
Gerudo is the opposite, with ginormous borders. I let Torimer’s ride because it’s not as disruptive and doesn’t have a giant pit in the middle or is a walk off.
Jungle Hijinx I’ll give you because it’s a leftover I meant to take out but didn’t.
Also, why are you both raising this shit now, THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT. These have been up for over two weeks. Speak sooner

kongo jungle 64 is almost a perfectly neutral stage…your character’s are big enough now that the size isn’t anything to worry about
jeezus, i think you went too lenient on the stage choices. we want to make the tournament shorter, not longer
like holy dear god, some of these stages choices are really bad that even po is disagreeing with some of them
i still wouldn’t separate wily’s omega from the other omega stages, they’re all CP, just announce the one you want to use but anyways
is mine more conservative than yours? yea but it’s not bat shit crazy. you ban some stages for circle camping but not others which have a worse problem with circle camping (tomodachi life and boxing ring are among them). some stages offer power-ups (find mii) or have a crazy cave of life (mario circuit). i know we want to have as expansive of a list of stages but have some control. don’t throw everything into the bag at once, ease us into it. some of these stages are out of wack though (pac maze and pictochat 2 are terrible for tournament settings)
you also did not discuss the stage list for the tournament at all in this thread which is why some of us are going to be a bit perturbed
