Hey guys. CG again, opening signups for our first tournament, Cross Platform Crackdown. This will be a set of two tournaments. One for Smash Wii U and one for Smash 3DS. This will be a traditional tournament, utilizing a neutral/Counterpick format. We’re still hammering out the stages [here in the stages thread](The toxicity that is the Stages thread. Welcome to Disagree, USA so feel free to pop on by and contribute.

Format:
Double Elimination
No Items
Best 2 of 3. Finals best of 5.
Custom moves allowed. Equipment not allowed.

Each match will start with a random neutral between Battlefield, Final Destination, Wily’s Omega(debatable), Kongo 64(Debatable), Smashville, Town and City, and Duck Hunt.

When the match is over:
The winner will choose random(which online, passes the buck I believe). The loser will be able to change his character and pick the stage.

Most definitely. But expect that list to be small

I’m only in for the 3DS tourney. There’s a chance that I may have work, and if I do, I’ll pull out, but I expect to be able to participate.
My FC is in my signature.
Are we gonna have to add each competitor or are we going to connect to a specific host individually? Also, what are the rules if there is a heavy amount of lag involved?

I can understand the neutral list being small. But how small will the CP list be?

We need AT LEAST 8 in each tournament to take off. Yeah, I got it, everyone’s on holiday and whatnot, but still, if a tournament doesn’t have at least 8 players in it I will have to cancel it

Yes I took the day off so I’ll play in both tourneys. Can’t wait for the update that will make hosting tourneys online easier.

Since we got a couple of people signed up for the tournament, i thought it be interesting to throw in a prize for the tourny depending on interest from you guys!
I asked Cg and he gave me his blessing for the idea. Now if you guys are interested and depending which tournament has the most people i’ll be awarding the winner a hard to come by Amiibo. Only if enough people are ok with the idea of prizes being involved. Let me know what you think of the idea? If not enough peoiple are interested i’ll scrap the prize. And you guys can get a fat ol e-finger!!
