Maybe so, but I just honestly wonder why you “care” so much, man.
I mean, if the '09/SF4/“animu, lol” crowd is already grinding your gears now, I pray for the sanctity of your soul once the “'11ers” (as I’m preemptively calling them) come around as a result of MvC3 and possibly SFxT.
Looks like I’m skipping the anime then lol. On the other hand, since I’m an “Umineko virgin” (lol) it shouldn’t do any harm if I watch the anime first right?
You can do it if you want, but I’d recommend against it. Umineko has a lot of plot twists, which the anime handles really badly. Things like Episode 3 are really best experienced in the novel or manga, instead of the anime.
Imagine how bad it will be if Mortal Kombat 9 ends up popular. The “THE ONLY THING I LIKE IN GAMES IS GORE” frat boy population could end up quite obnoxious.
actually there was a kid that was like that not long ago, i think that its name was Hercuein or something like that, he was bashin any game for not having blood, saying that there were garbage and shit like that, pretty funny
I would not recommend you watch the anime before you read the VN…
… The anime isn’t really meant for those who haven’t read the novels and it is definitely not meant as a substitute either. You will hardly know what is going on in the anime as it doesn’t even bother to explain itself, I feel like the anime was meant for those who had previously read the novel just so that they can see some(very small amount) of their favorite parts animated… That’s about it I guess.
If you are planning on getting into the story, I can’t really recommend anything else other than the novel itself (No manga, no anime, etc.).
I’m really starting to like what I’m seeing from the recent videos. Looks like it’ll have some really unique mechanics. If nothing else it’ll be fun to mess around with.
Also after a closer look the animation isn’t as bad as I initially thought. I think in general a couple of moves could use some extra frames and it could use some transition animations but other than that it’s actually pretty good. Kinda reminds me of Akatsuki where the game looks way better in person. Lol.
Seriously though, they have a save function and a fast forward function, won’t take up more time than reading a book. The music alone makes it worth getting.
If you do get it stick out ep1 till the first death. The beginning was really fucking boring but it gets good.
I support everything he said. No kidding about the sprites having a certain charm that grows on you after a while, SPECIALLY the troll faces. Not to mention, to me, no laugh will ever have the charm of ahahaha.wav
The gameplay looks good to you guys? I’m sorry those last two videos don’t really do it for me. Multiple crazy tag supers and who knows what else for almost free. Is it impossible to have a decent, measured doujin game like Blitzkampf?
It looks like a BBB style disaster. I hope I’m wrong.
I think the supers thing so far is a result of Beatrice’s “infinite sp” passive. It worries me too, though. But the tag system is sounding way too interesting so far for me to get unhype because of such.
This is my only gripe I see so far with what I’ve seen out the vids. I understand trying to keep it all canon and shit, but that alone bothers me. I’m sure I saw Chiester doing the same thing too.
