This game’s weird-ass meter system…I wanna say it’s gonna be way too radical for its own good, but I’ll suspend judgment until more actual matches are demonstrated.

God, I HATE the voices in this game, though. Are these jerks all from the anime cast? Now I’m starting to remember why I stopped watching the anime about 1.5 episodes in. (The soul-flaying little “UUUUN UUUN” girl didn’t help, either.)

I’m all for something with a different pace. My only problem with this game is that I havn’t seen the anime or whatever it’s based on.
Graphics are really sweet, doujin games like these that are pro level blows my mind.

Yeah I’m sorry that “not liking change” makes things like “hitstop working properly” and “not seeing 12 2 second long flashes in a row with an annoying noise” or “everything has decades of recovery despite reasonable looking startup time” or “the speed of the game looks so incredibly variable and inconsistent” not matter. Whoops.

I’m not impressed with what we’ve been shown either, I’m positive this game will through several revisions before they get it right (if they care of course). I’m just enjoying the little touches / animations and the like.

I hope you guys realized THAT vid was lagging when recorded and not the actual game footage. I dunno where u guys are getting that the game is “stiff”. or maybe I’m just used to playing games like…UHMMMMM everything else (minus the 3d fighters or 2.5). seriously this game is pretty fluid, not understanding where all this stiff talk is coming from.

There’s also another type of touch(tag): Guard Touch. You can switch out during blockstun. It halves your guard bar damage taken so you can block a bit longer. It will cost one stock for the partner tagging in.

Which then comes to bite her in the ass in episode 4. HARD. I won’t lie, seeing her and Maria’s backstory in that episode made me glad she got killed and feel way too sorry for Maria to be annoyed by the “uu~ uu~”

Damn, this thread is being trolled hard. Their issue is not about game mechanics or “stiffness”. If it this was made by Capcom they would jizzing right now. All this blind hate against a potentially great game is ruining my lurk sessions.

Haterz pls go back to dickriding ryu/ken in SSF4. Leave poverty alone.

There’s actually a lot of thought put into the tagging mechanics, not like most other pretenders there where they just go “oh this meter builds up and you can do supers with it.”

This will be my new main game; it cares about being true to the source like JoJos and HNK.

I think it’ll start out that way, but unlike MKV I’d like to think it won’t drop off the face of the planet soon there after.
