Logan I would consider going to Evo in the summer however I would need to figure everything out to get off work and the money thing. Also I am planning on going to Nova Scotia again in the summer and need to make sure its not the same time. I’m sure with some coaxing we could get my brother to go to (another car).
I would be down for a MVC3 ranbat for sure, I feel I would almost be competitive with a whole new game, though I am sure MVC2 experience would help a lot.
Sucks I missed the epic night though even as someone said above if just for the experience.

I submit that the Marvel money matches follow this format as well, as it’s awesome.
Exscept the Andrew Mark match, which has its own ruleset and should be left as is IMO.

As far as my MM w mark the only additional rule I’ll throw out it something I saw in the Clockwork v Neo and that’s no coaching during the match. After all the shit talking and practice Mark’s had I don’t think he needs it.
I’ll ask for the 3rd time: Jon what is the TV ur bringing for (tourney or side games) and when are non-tourney players goin down? Also when are you goin down Mark

Fuck man… That sounds like an awesome time i missed out on… fucking work… And as for next week… turns out i work a close on saturday, so if im going to make it out to the tournament im either going to havto give out my close, which makes me lose about 150$ or go to the tournament. I havnt decided yet. But if i cant go to the tournament, i would still be more then happy to challenge miles and andrew to marvel mms.

Yep I would have but we already had a 40 minute wait so I didn’t really want to be picky about which section we were sitting in… now that said if we can just request a waiter than that works just fine

OK twitter is looking REALLY good for this… If you subscribe via SMS (Get updates via SMS by texting “follow WhySoGimmicks” to 21212 in Canada, equally easy to unsubscribe) you will get a text message when anything is tweeted on the account. No cost for this over whatever you would normally pay for an incoming text message. Hopefully I can get the info for this account from Johnny… Would be good for a couple people to have the info for it so that we can use it communally instead of having to rely on a single person for updates.

Where can I find some info on xvsf? Been playing it a bit on ggpo, it’s kinda fun… I don’t understand most of it, but it’s kinda cool. Trying to play Cammy/Storm.
U only about 13years late to pick it up
xvsf is good shit to start with to understand the vs games.
It’s a lot easier to transition into mvc if you know a bit of xsf.
Cammy and Storm are good chars to play. I’m not great with Cammy. but rumor has it that i know a bit about storm.
I’ll trade you some knowledge in return for some ST goodies in the near future

Ya, I know, but I never had access to it before and recently got the ROM…
Well, with MVC3 coming out, I figured I could try and get some basic idea. MvC2 is too intense to start with for me, and xvsf is a little slower and with only 2 characters, seemed better suited to learn from.
Basic combos, setups, safe strings I guess. The only thing I’ve gotten down so far is super jumping with Storm and mashing fp to build meter, then doing up + 3p and go off screen to keep building even more meter. Then I land, pray I don’t get tagged, try and land a combo and then rinse/repeat.
Do both if possible, I personally don’t tweet and would prefer a facebook page but a lot of people do so i think it would really help. Plus when i first came to ottawa one of the first places I searched for street fighter stuff was on facebook so im sure it’ll help some people out. You’ll be surprised how many people use srk but don’t know about the matchmaking threads.
If you need help with the facebook page just holla at me, I have never actually made one of those but i doubt its too difficult.
As it turns out you dont even need a twitter account. You can get updates by SMS, check my post on the last page.
