As for the tourney - don’t waste your time. The GO guys have made it clear that they don’t want any extra stations or anything other than the games being played in the tournament. We’ll do this at one of the Friday gathers I suppose…

Oh man, now I know why I called him a moron. We all looked around when Yang started to knock on the door like “who’s going to answer that?”. For youtube, there’s a way to link videos from another person’s account to your account, so you can have one central Ottawa account, and then link it to all our sub accounts; how? I don’t know

Looks like this may have been some miscommunication… clarification hopefully coming tonight.
The big thing that needs to be considered here is that this is the first large event that GO is putting on so they probably don’t want to overcommit to what can be done… future events will probably be larger and have the space/time/staff/etc to allow for side events and extra setups.
Let’s make this a success for what it is and provide as much feedback as we can. As you probably all remember the first ranbat season wasn’t so solid either but it has definitely evolved since that point.
Alright I’m done trying to show them the err of their ways in the GO thread, no one there is going to listen anyways; hopefully they realize that they are catering to the wrong market with this event and they do better next time.
Just got off the phone with Aris from GO… looks like there has been some deliberation from them on this… More news coming but in short a marvel/bb/whatever station should be fine BUT people coming for/with that will still need to pay venue. The other concern is space - once the tourney is set up if there’s room for additional stations (I’m guessing there will be) then you can definitely bring one but additional space will not be made by moving shit around and they will be the judge of capacity.
This will be confirmed by the GO staff tonight so don’t start packing yet.

Also, confirmed, Marvel/3s/BB/whatevers stations are go as long as you guys are cool with paying venue. Space will still be a concern, concessions will NOT be made for additional setups (i.e. if you bring shit and there’s no space you’re out of luck). The GO staff will have the final word on the number of additional setups that is reasonable once they’ve had a chance to better scope out the place.
And on a personal note… CONSTRUCTION IS FINALLY FUCKING DONE IN MY APARTMENT! WOOOOOO!
