There’s way too many fights in SVC Chaos for me to break everything down and I don’t really have time to dig through the series right now. Maybe during the weekend when I work on putting all of my comics away, but I’m missing I think about 2 issues in the story. The cliff notes are Ryu defeated the Goddess Athena and Kyo defeated Red Arramer, that’s how it ends.
The SVC comics are pretty hard to locate if you miss a back issue, they don’t print that many copies. I missed issue 5 and had to go through the net to find it, first site I ordered from didn’t have it and refunded my money, got it on the second try. So if you see it in a store and are remotely interested, get it. It’s one of those books that will vanish or be tricky to track down if you sleep on it since they have a very low print run.
They sell the book in TPBs, that’s what I’m talking about. They didn’t/don’t release the books in seperate comics in the US.
Hey if you can find them by you, it’s all good. Things like this may vary from where people live and stuff… Maybe it’s just 'cuz I’m in NYC and all the Chinatown Fair Arcade SNK freaks buy them all up or something… but the print run is pretty low compared to say… Marvel and DC stuff, or even Dark Horse. Some of their KOF and KOF Maximum Impact stuff is even trickier to locate going the back issue route.
Ah I didnt know that. My shop always got them because of a regular buyer here, and I live in Europe. They’re the same US prints, but my comic book guy has a fetish for overstocking on stuff, that’s why I think he had em.
after re-reading, I will suggest taking out Superman: Infinite Crisis (there are really only 2 issues in it that you need - the IC Secret Files and Origins annual and the one superman issue that expands upon IC#5 - the rest a just filler) and getting something like Teen Titans: Life and Death instead, oh, and you definitely need the Infinite Crisis Companion tpb
Ion has some damn good art, but the story is a bit up and down at this point. the plotting in particular seems awkwardly paced.
I stopped at golden apple last night and got 4 comics from the 5 for a dollar bins - 2 issues of NOW’s the terminator, stray bullets #40, and an issue of X-O Manowar I think I already owned
Here’s an amusing take on Civil War #7. Someone went through the trouble of scanning the entire issue and rewriting the dialogue. Obviously, this has spoilers because they didn’t change the art, only the text.
I like Civil War #7 the way it was, but even I have to admit this was entertaining. I’m betting those of you who don’t like the real comic will think this is an improvement.
Just picked up the latest three issues of 52. Pretty nice that they’re actually continuing/concluding some of the storylines. I liked Ralph Dibney’s storyline.
