Civil War the return
i thought he was supposed to never come back?
Never in comics means = until they run out of ideas. I’m still waiting on Aunt May Herald to return.
I’m waiting for Cosmic Spidey to return. Fuck this “Back in Black” shit.
I hope thats the sentry with a haircut and new costume. Doubt it though
Clones and now this
I feel for Robbie Baldwin. I wonder what he’ll do now as Penance.
HOLY CRAP!!! Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness! Ash all up in the Zombie House of Ideas!

That is just too excellent.
More 52 info from your boy Buckley!!!
[details=Spoiler] Straight from DC itself:
"One Year Later. You all remember it, that defining moment when all the stories of the DC Universe jumped from the events of Infinite Crisis to a time where lives of our heroes were dramatically changed. Most changes came without explanation as we watched our heroes deal with the ramifications in an attempt to rebuild their lives. But what happened? What caused this seismic change to the status quo? What transformed so many heroes?
For nearly a year we left those questions unanswered, but now their story can be told. We have hinted as it and left hushed clues as we watched the missing year slowly revealed in our mega-hit 52. In 52, we have seen a world that exists without Superman, batman and Wonder Woman, and now with 52 #50, we will see a world at war.
World War 3, the World vs. Black Adam, the meta-human war that swept across the globe. Fast and vicious, its not surprising that it altered the lives of so many of our heroes.
More devastating than a nuclear holocaust we witness the unbridled rage Black Adam as he carves a hell bent path of destruction. His story will be told in 52, but the effects of his wrath are so far reaching that we needed to create a special four part story to fully show its impact.
World War Three: A Call To Arms; The Valiant; Hell is for Heroes and United We Stand will hit stands the same weeks as 52 #50. Like I said, it?s a fast war but incredibly far reaching. The four parts, written by Keith Champagne (JSA) and John Ostrander (Suicide Squad) and drawn by Pat Olliffe, Andy Smith, Tom Derenick and Jack Jadson, featuring, well, just about everyone.
SO join us, as we uncover the secrets behind Firestorm, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman?s transformations, and reveal the tragedies of Batgirl and the Teen Titans. And now that I think about it, just how did Jason Todd become Nightwing?
Here?s your chance to find out, if you were excited by One Year Later, captivated by 52 and a fan of the DC Universe, April 18 is the week of comics you can?t miss.
Oh, one last thing, if you are wondering whatever happened after Dick proposed to Barbara Gordon, give a look to Nightwing Annual #2 also on sale in April. You won?t be disappointed.
To be continued.
Dan Didio"
Remember “The four horsemen will end her rain”? I think Isis is gonna get killed…it’s a shame, that was some top tier comic book booty. [/details]
As for what I read right now…52 (duh), Invincible, and some Batman. I’d read more, but college owns me…and anyways, I’m trying to kill off some of my OCD-like impulses…
Painy- I never been to the store on Divisadero… Is that the Comix Experience or something? I bet they have some long, hard, and sexy for you.
Oh yeah, Bill Willingham is gonna be at Isotope this Saturday. Bay Area = YAY AREA
my tpb pull list:
ultimate spider-man
punisher max
runaways
cable/deadpool
green lantern corps
teen titans
outsiders
checkmate
shadowpact
Jonah Hex
DMZ
Exterminators
hard to say about other stuff, JLA/JSA when it comes out, anything by Wagner or Lapham, anything Beast Wars or Gargoyles if they make it into tpb, ditto with Burley Man. Also anything Crisis related. And possibly Mike Carey’s x-men when it comes out
Forgot that on my list. You read City Of Crime by Lapham?
DC cancels Ennis/Robertson’s The Boys? They even cancelled the TPB.
Bullshit.
Hopefully they can find a new publisher for this series.
God, I hate you even more than I hate Painy.
And I hate him a lot already!
This comes as surprising news to me.
I vaguely remember lumbering into this thread saying that this book was going to be The Next Big Thing, imagining that we’d be referring to it as THE BOOOOOOOYS!!!11111 in like eight months.
I jinxed it - it’s on me. Just like how I jinxed Tony Allen just recently. I picked him up for my fantasy team, bragged about how we was like averaging 20 points per game ever since Pierce was out, and the first game he played as a member of my team, he goes up for a showboat dunk in a blowout win, and destroys his knee. That one’s on me too, Celtic fans. But that’s okay, because I hate you, and I want to break the knees of all your players.
To be fair though, Tony Allen - like Gerald Green - is a punk. And The Boys were moving with Bendisian speed.
wtf? link?
yes, and I love it. Definetaly the most underrated bat story in years. Batman fans are always clamoring for something new and different and true to Batman and not ass-bats but when they get it they just turn up their noses because it’s too slow or some other bullstuff.
You misread my post, congrats.
Anyway, why Spawn rox:
Some of the best, CONSISTANT art in the industry. Bar none. That goes ditto for covers and insides. Most comics fall the fuck off on one or both of those, regularly.
Demons. Yea, demons are awesome. Much more entertaining than the costumed dude of the month, or the trouble teenage mutant of the month (although, I do enjoy those formula’s aswell, but the can get old).
Al Simmons.
No, Shade. STFU already. Spawn sucks. Get over it. Todd trained his circus clowns to draw like him so the book can still say Todd McFarlane on it. Once Todd started making toys, he quit Spawn legit. Cold turkey. Spawn is so whack to him that shit’s a tax write-off at the end of the year.
Anyway, moving onto more important things: Fables sucks. If anyone here can provide me with a free copy of volume 1, I’ll change my mind.
So, I picked up Dr. Strange: The Oath #4 today. Looks to be the best read of the week. And Eternals #6 came out after a year or so. I think I have #5(I hope) read it(I pray). And then there was some other shit. Oh yeah, Flash #8. Excuse me while I perform an abortion on my eyes.
You just mad ‘cause Todd be stylin’ on you.
Shit. I finally get to use the ignore button!
Did anyone read Civil War the Return yet? I did I dont know what to say. Im not sure to be happy or pissed off.
