My eyes were pretty tired after reading the wolvey vs cap posts. I am so late in this CW thing now since i lost my job. Winter Soldier: winter kills was a pretty good read inspite of “Marvel purposely delaying comics” Still missing Blade # 5, thunderbolts #110, punisher # 2. (but i did read it for free at Barnes and Noble lol ) But i’ll get them soon.
What do you guys think of Ultimate Power? (reading the books free at barnes and noble as well :lol:) To me It’s not too bad and once again Reed doesnt have common sense inspite of his genius.
In regards to storing comics, I do have 6 boxes and 4 of them are empty because I have only collected Civil War comics including tie-ins and black panther (#11 to present) in addition to random BP comix (BP: Black and White but i still need to get # 5 and the prologue of the same arc) I do have 1 cable comic from a long time ago (cable # 39 Jan 97) Infinite Crisis TPB and Truth # 3
You know what the “foodsaver” is so awesome for saving comics man. At times I use my bro’s foodsaver he gets upset but i dont give a damn.

And a bunch of manga but I can never keep them all straight in my head because I’m behind on most of them, fairly up to date on Berserk and Death Note though.
I have about 18 large boxes of comics and about 10 small ones, but my apartment is pretty big. Well even in my older / smaller apartment I was able to make room for them, you just have to be a little creative sometimes. If you have the space of course.
Also, theres a new Webcomic series WORTH reading from Image, called the Adventures of Spawn. Very fucking badass. Extremely DCAU styled, which is a new take on the old Spawn characters and formula. DCAU fan? Check it out. It’s awesome, easily accessible, and it’s free. No excuses.
I’ve been reading Spawn in the TPB collections. There’s something like 12 issues a book. 90s fun, I find it enjoyable as a guilty pleasure. Last collection even had a story from Grant Morrison.
But try as I might I could never really collect it regularly. When it first began the long delays turned me off so I stopped after issue 5, and every time I jump back in I don’t really hang in there for long. So I guess I’ll stick with the TPBs for now. And yeah kind of reading it until I find out who everyone is in the Capcom Dreamcast / Arcade game Spawn in the Demon’s Hand.
The Spawn manga is really cool, and it was nice that the manga tied in with the main story too instead of being a different reality. I wonder if they are bringing out more of those in English other than the three volumes out.
Overrated? Spawn did well because it was good. No one “overrated” it. Once the delays, setbacks, legal trouble, dragged on arcs, and whatever else held the series’ back, then the sales declined accordingly. There’s plenty of other comic book related comics that are way more overrated. Believe it.
