lately I have been looking for another fighter to play or screw around with during the rare times I get burnt out on 3S, just wondering what you other 3S players play and looking for possible suggestions.
sf4 is just too ugly, and after having KOF 13 for 2 months I still cant get a comfortable feel for this game.

Yeah I really like Karnov’s as well, but as of late I have been playing heaps of Vampire Savior. I really suggest Garou: MOTW it’s really SNK’s SFIII.

Not only I play UMvC3, But I also play DOA (Dead or Alive), SSFIV AE, BlazBlue, KOF, and Soul Calibur.
Its been some time since I touched DOA and Soul Calibur, but if you’re looking for a game that’s somewhat a challenge to play, I suggest KOF since the Trials are bothersome as hell.
Super Turbo, Vanguard Princess, Ougon Musou Kyoku, Rumble Fish, Bloody Roar 2, Pocket Fighter. I’ll also play a little CvS2.
When I was in Japan I played Melty Blood, Arcana Heart(1-2, no 3), Tekken6 BR, and a little bit of VF5 but no FS. Guilty Gear was actually the first fighting game I got into semi-competitively(started with GG1 on PSX, stopped at Accent Core because it was disappointing), but I was never particularly good and 3rd Strike hooked me more.

Have you tried the older KOF games? 98 is more traditional then XIII and the pace is a bit slower so it easier to play in real-time.
Also, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, Rival Schools, SVC Chaos, and SF3: Second Impact.
I’ll add to this that I actually do play karnov, not just 3s in the karnov room.
Also, kof 98, super turbo, i’d love to play cvs2 and real bout 2, but those aren’t on ggpo unfortunetly.

Ive actually tried 98 and 2002 a few times. I think its just the normals are killing me in 13, like gameplay is fast but the moves feel slow if you get what i mean. Probably, team based fighters arent my thing. Ill need to check out jojos, vs and garou they always looked interesting. Ive seen some dudes play last blade 2 on ggpo before and it looks cool.
KOF13 and 2002. I should be playing more JoJo’s.
Personally, I hated how the newer KoF games started getting faster pacing. It felt more like a bad Capcom fighter than a good SNK game. I also never got the popularity of 2002 and KoF11, especially the latter because I think it’s one of the more overrated out there.
Battle Colosseum was pretty fun though. 98 will always be my favorite though.
Been dabbling in Guilty Gear XX Accent Core and Vampire Savior lately
I’m just now getting back to playing 3SOE though…in preparation for an online tournament with some e-pals
I’ve spent probably 100 hours of 3s to every 1 hour I’ve spent on any other game, but I do like Zero2 a lot. Also CvS2 was the first fg I ever wanted to get good at but it never panned out once I got on 3s. I still really like CvS2 even though I’m clueless at it. Doesn’t help that all the CvS2 players I know are all former top players to. No fun to play against some A groove monster when you can barely do your bnb’s consistently.
3s is like that real dank ass top shelf kush while everything else is just spice or schwag.

XI practically divided my local community lol 
, some people liked the old style KOF matches and other people the fast paced matches in XI, i really liked XI because of the great variety of characters.
NGBC was really fun and had a nice netcode in my own experience despite of some flaws in the gameplay.
