On a serious side not though, I think we should be given as much evidence as possible to show what actually happened. I think we do have a right to be critical of the U.S government when it comes to such subject matter after the whole invasion of Iraq fiasco. Release pictures like you did of al-Zarqawi(sp?) and hell give us video if you have any.

yeah, the team involved (Navy SEAL Team Six) doesn’t officially exist…these are the kinda dudes you sadly don’t put on the front page of the paper, announced to the entire world.
Don’t know how accurate wikipedia is, but reading about the Navy SEALs is nuts. According to wikipedia, SEAL members will often go to great lengths to blend into normal society, eschewing the traditional buzzcut and uniforms, and opting for a more casual look (long hair, fake eyeglasses, etc). Often times, they’ll have cover jobs to keep up appearances to avoid detection from foreign and domestic parties. Shit is fucking crazy; some guy sitting in the cubicle next to yours could be a SEAL
I know a few guys who were SEALs. Not best to fuck around with ANY of them.

yeah, the 30 months MINIMUM of training AFTER other standard military training, sounds fun as well 
DEVGRU exists, it’s in VA Dam Neck/NAS Oceana, they have unit badges and everything. The exist, people just don’t comment on on them officially. Which is why you’ll get retired or media people saying one thing, but when you ask an official source they just “no comment” which is standard for a lot fo things.
A lot of stuff written there is bullshit or stuff that happens at times but is made out to be “standard”. They walk around in uniform on base, they have buds badges in dress uniforms or patches on others. Ditto for while you are at sea. When I was part of CCG2 on the Truman (Comcargru is the Admirals direct staff rather than ships staff) the designated officer of the SEAL team and EOD team had normal haircuts, as did the rest of them, and rather blatantly wore their unit identifiers. As did all their staff. The most secretive people in our office TFFC/CVIC and SESS were the sub guys.
How military members dress when they are working out of an embassy or on shore in civilian clothes, and how you dress when you are on official duty or on watch/duty are two different things.
yeah its all classified so the various navy seal memoirs you can find at book stores sadly don’t provide much detail on any real missions they’ve done, majority of their stories are just about training missions.
but yeah SEALS ARE AWESOME!!! i’ve watched the discovery show about navy seals where they follow a bunch of dudes doing the basic underwater demolition training. its entirely opt in, so you can quit any time you want to. nobody votes you off the island. BEST REALITY TV SHOW EVER.

I commend the bravery and courage of the SEAL team members for completing their mission. However, while Bin Laden was a disreputable terrorist responsible for the bombings of the USS Cole and our embassies, let us not forget that Osama Bin Laden has never been charged or indicted by the justice department for the attacks on 9/11. Everyone deserves their day in court and you are innocent until proven guilty under our rule of law. What troubles me is that we executed him without even bothering to indict him first. If we are a country that stands by the rule of law then we must follow it, even when it is inconvenient.
Because a country that does not stand for it?s own rules stands for nothing.
