I’m mostly worried about America’s relationship with Pakistan. It’s not like the Pakistani government weren’t aware that they were harboring the most wanted man in the world for a decade- living in a mansion no less. If any successive President takes up office focuses on that fact, there could be another needless conflict.
I think people are overlooking the fact that Pakistan is pretty pissed off from the US’s constant incursions into their borders. They aren’t exactly pushovers military-wise and they have the bomb. World Wars have started over less than this.
Anyway this just reeks of some half baked diversionary tactic to draw attention away from the real crisis in this country and sadly, people are falling for it hook line and sinker. I wonder which American cities will be nuked in the “inevitable” reprisal attacks

There’s nothing that says Pakistan is going to do anything, even militarily, in response to getting outdone by US forces in this operation. There’s nothing to logically make it a plausibility that they would get mad enough to do much of anything other than complain about it.
As for it being a diversion, what would you prefer, they wait until everything settles down here before saying “Oh by the way in May 2011 we killed Bin Laden”? Why does it have to reek of anything just because of the events in the rest of the world when it occurs?
It’s good to stay aware of how Pakistan could react, but really don’t overestimate Al Queda man. This is an organization that has been completely dessicated since the war in Afghanistan started. They hardly have the legs to commit more significant attacks, let alone anything nuclear. And now their emir is gone.

sorry but i find little sympathy for pakistan’s soverignty in this, you mean to tell me that he has been living there, so close to them and they didn’t know? they were harboring a problem and we took care of it. if they are pissed about us going over their borders so be it.
i would like to see them even think of threatening a nuclear strike against the US in retaliation, wont be received very well by us and the rest of the world.

At the same time the could use that to take out Pakistan something thats also just as bad since it feels unnecessary for us to waste more resources being stretched as thin as we are.
Actually I’m more concerned about the terrorist organizations no one knows anything about that fly in under the radar.
I’m not trying to be a fear monger, but I don’t think a significant retaliatory attack is out of the realm of possibility.
