I’m new but GGs to everyone I played at the tournament Sunday. I was the Balrog player with the Marvel stick. I’m trying to improve my game and the tournament gave me a much better idea of what areas I need to work on. I’m just happy I didn’t go 2 and out, lol. I’m looking forward to Ranbats & I’m going to try to get out to as many as my work schedule will allow.
I know they’re just starting, but if there’s enough interest would it be possible to add HDR to Ranbats? Even if it’s a side event. I know the space is a little limited and I’m not sure if there is any interest in the game but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
It sucks but Rocky’s just doesn’t have an interest in bringing in any new fighting games. I had asked if they were going to import Super on arcade when it comes out and they said it’s too costly and doesn’t really make sense for them but it’s not out of the question in the future. They did say they were going to hold console tournaments though…
I think if they know the demand is there for Super they might change their mind. It’d be amazing if they got it but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

And Torrin, I’d make ranbats but Sunday is a pretty terrible day in my opinion too not just cause of Football but I work every Sunday exactly from 1-6 lol. Although you need an early time for Gamers Inc to work so I can see why you picked it.

I got an e-mail on their mailing list saying that they were holding a tournament last Sunday (Super, but the e-mail says they’ll be rotating games), but of course that conflicted with the other tourney that day. And since the e-mail says they’re going to be doing these on Sundays, they’re going to be running RIGHT into ranbats like every other week.
…Yeah.

Actually my good sir, that e-mail was a typo. Talked to them last night about it since I was there for a poker tourney and they said they had announced it for the end of the month to people who have come up there, so it will be actually this Sunday. That works out since it will be a week that ranbats will not happen. It would be an 5/10 buck tourney 70/20/10 payout probably around 8PM. How many people would be about it because most people there are not big SSF4 heads you all would probably make or break it?
I will get an e-mail from the co-owner today or tomorrow for details being ironed out. Any setups would probably help too.

I tried messaging Rocky’s when they reopened in attempts to bring a big tourney to them but never got an answer. They were never known for listening to outside players for much but now that they have a lot of space, if they want to really succeed they need to open up a bit more to the bigger communities.
As for Sunday Ranbats and such, Torrin I don’t know how you came up with the Sunday Schedule but it’s one thing is just me and 2/3 others can’t make Sundays but Leland can’t either so you’d be missing out on Orlando’s Best players, plus I’m getting facebook messages from players also not liking the Sunday timeslot. So you should reconsider it for a weekday night and I will even start making it out to them and helping with Setups. Sunday is just bad for a ton of reasons, but hey if it works just for you then why not right. All powerful Torrin.
