Hey Tony, I decided to watch Martyrs last night and I have to give it up to a movie that starts out with a young girl blowing an entire family away with a shotgun. I just loved it. It instantly puts you in a ?WTF moment? and in a second you want to know whats going on, and why she did it. It had me interested. I don?t want to go into any details, just incase any body else hasn?t seen it, but I would recommend it to anyone, even if you?re not into horror movies. I don?t find these movies scary at all. I?m still waiting for a movie to give me nightmares like I had when I was kid watching Jason and Freddy. I may watch another tonight, maybe Salo. Watching people eat shit doesn?t affect me, it?s just TV. And No, I didn?t have to look that word up either, lol.
My quick horror movie list or the ones I actually remember the name of.
High Tension
Skeleton Key
The Descent
Eden Lake

The e-mail address I used and they responded was rockysreplay@gmail.com. Maybe if enough of us tell them we want them to get fighting games they might listen. I’d definitely go there if there were interesting games to play and there was a community. Unfortunately the only game that even remotely peaks my interest is UMK3. It kind of blows my mind that aside from the Ultracade, they really don’t have any form of SF - No ST, 3rd Strike, any of the Alphas, etc. From what I remember Wackadoos @ UCF has a better fighting game selection. Someone should just convince them to get a CPS2 setup and get some of the games run on that hardware. At least that way they can rotate out the games.
On ranbats - even though I thought the setup at Gamers Inc. was pretty good, I remember hearing there’s a console LAN center in Waterford Lakes. They might be open a little later during the week but I have no idea what their setups are like. It might be worth looking into though…
That won’t work, I cant make it out to casuals :shake:
One of these sundays or to be determined days of ranbats or gamer’s inc tourney’s…bring it please.
I can pick any day of the week and give you pros and cons for each day. Ian, I can’t do it Saturday because it’s mandatory for me to work that day, so I’m switching to Friday every other week. Any objections? (of course there will be).
I’m a lil bit late but…GGS to everyone in Orlando while I was in town. Chaos Breaker is too fucking random. Also hope u guys enjoyed the lessons in HDR
Friday looks promising! Now we just need for a few major players to pop in and say, “I’m sorry, but Friday’s no good for me” and we can get right back to what this scene is all about: drama!
Hah. Anyway. I was wondering because if it wasn’t a tournament it’s the other thing (a gathering of friends to show up somewhere), which i’m not interested in mainly because it’s too personal ( no you being a douche on the forum had nothing to do with it ).
I’m also interested in knowing the skill level of you guys in games like ST/HD remix, and ssfiv. Do any of you play on ggpo?
It’s ranbats, not casual gatherings.
It’s a series of tournaments spread over a “season”…at least that is what i believe is the definition.
It will be on Fridays starting next week at the PlaynTrade/Gamer’s Inc. @ Waterford Lakes, the time is up in the air right now until Torrin gives us so more info.
Community plays SSF4 and BB:CS competitively, everything is else is for poops and giggles.
I’m pretty free myself in SSF4, and have failed to show up to many things…but i still hang around hoping i can make it to some events (especially now since Waterford is like 15 minutes away from me )
EDIT: CvS2 happens to be the shit around these parts every once and a while when it’s played from what I hear…have yet to witness it or play it myself…
