The venue isn’t really big enough for both games tbh… The fact that we have usually 3+ gatherings a week that all have BB at them and Kissimmee has yet to attend one leads me to believe they really don’t have anything to offer to the community at large /shrug. It’s farther for you and your brother to drive to my place(which you do every week on saturday i might add) than it is for kissimmee people to drive to tsaks(which they have never done…ever…) and about equa-distant to my place(again never…) so i don’t think they are that interested in joining us… They can talk all they want but dems da facts m8. OHand waterford PnT is hardly central for anyone other than the chaps that live otu by UCF…
As for sunday being football day…who cares lol…in this, the day of the intarwebs, missing one game a every other week(live viewing) isn’t that big of a deal since you can just listen to it via internet radio or other means…but people will always have excuses i guess.
see follow up sentance for why it shouldn’t be an issue and to expand up why you should not care if it’s football day or not. It’s highly unlikely that every single ran bat your favorite team will be playing at 1pm on sunday. You could also check and they may actually have some way of viewing the game AT THE VENUE. Just because it’s sunday doesn’t mean you would miss a game entirely…
Besides you not viewing the game doesn’t affect the outcome of said game
They will probably show up for tournaments of note (given that they do so for Super already), but honestly I don’t blame them for not showing up to Orlando gatherings. Looking at Mapquest, the drive DOES look more involved than my Apopka -> downtown or east Orlando commute.
The distance is a LOT more significant and while you can use the 417 to skip a lot of bullshit going to UCF, your avenues to downtown Orlando from Kissimmee are a lot more limited and annoying. Using downtown Kissimmee as a reference, you basically have to pick your poison between Orange Avenue and 441 before you get to the Turnpike (because it starts so far east of downtown), and even then you’d eventually have to abandon the Turnpike and go BACK to 441 or Orange Avenue because it starts to swing west of downtown Orlando.
Don’t let the distance fool you, my commute from Apopka to Orlando is much shorter and tamer than anything I can work out from Kissimmee, unless Hitage and company are on the northern end of that area.
EDIT: Fun bullshit with Unlimited characters in BBCS (Japanese casuals?):
I feel sorry for the poor guy who tried to troll Unlimited Noel with regular Bang. Dude just couldn’t clear the minimum bullshit level needed for matches involving Unlimited characters. Show these videos to any idiot who ever thinks they should be tourney-legal (or anything involving Unlimited Arakune, really).
Is the distance really that significant? I’d have to check up google maps, probably like a 30-40 minute drive? Not too bad, just a matter of people willing to drive up there that are free. I don’t have a car else I’d be there to level up in BB and SSF4. When it comes to tournaments, we’ll be there no doubt. When I get a car, I’ll drive there with some folks no doubt. All about having some good old fashion fun.
Thank you for pickin Sunday!(it is football day but whatever all we see is dumb buccaneer games at 1pm anyways ) Lol that’s perfect for me. Can you explain ranbats I’m new to the sf scene cuz the whole time I thought it was a diff name for casuals…also I should bring my own stick right?
Explain Ranbats? Did you read the post, lol? First, Ranbats will be both for Super and BBCS. I’ll be the organizer for both games. Ben and Rico if you can bring your monitors, that will be great. Second, there are so many reasons why I picked Sunday, but the main reason is I’m only off on Sunday. Tony and Irvyn missing football is not a big deal. I have TiVo…
