Exactly!!!
And you know this community will make sure they are on the right path for a great fucking time up in here!!!
Orlando is so so so much more than just it’s Theme Parks!

Now are there any other Ideas?
From what it seems everything game related is slowly sorting itself out and damn well thanks to Alex’s endless resources of contacts and people he knows.
We have top players, we have great facilities, and we have HYPE…what else can we as a community bring to the table for people spending their hard earned money to come all the way out here? Because if it’s just playing games for a weekend…they probably won’t make that effort…
Let’s keep this think tank rolling, and put them jokes aside…the goal is to make sure the people get more than their money’s worth!!!
There is plenty to do outside on International Drive after hours. He stated he wanted something to do inside the hotel. =/
You can do laser tag and paintball before or after, depending on the time. As for paintball, if you call in advance, I know you can get discount pricing for large groups. You would need to get a list of names of how many actually want to and will play.
That’s all I have for right now. Back to work I go.
What makes seasons beatings so much fun? That damn place with the tea. We need a place with tea…
you guys are neglecting 2 major things.
1.) the people coming from out of town are gamers.
2.)Jebailey would be betting 10 grand on the fact that #1 is planning on more than camping with fellow gamers in a hotel room there by not only cuttin the min. room req needed for jebailey to not spend 10k but also cutting down the chance they would want to do someting other than play Smash or SSFIV, and even if they do want to do something after hours of the tourney they aren’t going to stay extra on record to go to universal /shrug my 2 cents.
No one is going to a theme park during a 3-day tournament. Smash kids will stockpile twelve to a room like illegal immigrants.
i believe you meant to say mexicans but i’ll let your racism hide under mine for now glares@orlando
Tomorrow I’ll be getting the first draft of the contract with all the agreements and what nots of getting the actual venue. Keep ya guys posted then.
Depending on how many top players come through you could have a super street fighter 4 pro day. Interviews, matches with scrubs and insight into the game that a good amount of players look into. Also see if there is any crazy/decent documentaries about FG in general and have a screening with winghouse/sexy girls handing out popcorn. I’ll even dress up in a bikini for it
Kinda like how the super bowl does it.
Top players and Japanese players are going to bring crowds, focus that pull and make it an event. Also i need you to bring tokido so i can rape him in BB. k thanks
100% accurate.
buffet for hotel tenants. 2 tickets to a room for the buffet to keep people from clown carring rooms. if the hotel wont provide a buffet then you can get an outside source for it which is easy to find or i can provide a good one if need be. it may not sound like much but if you advertise it correctly they should realize that spending 40 on a hotel room a night and food is a crazy good deal. sure your spending money on a buffet but theres no doubt its gonna get you closer than any other idea to getting that 10000.
as far as the tournament a pro players sort of situation would be something to attract people. either a room for pro players (with amenities of some sort if that doesnt interest them enough) or a high roller tournament with 100 a head to enter. im sure ill come up with other ideas cause im a genius.
100% accurate
I’m sure we could find a some sort of sponsor that we can make a deal with. Complimentary breakfast sounds like a great plan! I think catering won’t be TOO expensive better than paying 10k. I think with the roster if top players Jebailey is working on getting we’ll be attracting a great number if people…all we need to do is keep them from piling 12 to a room lol. We just need to keep hyping it up and talk to the nearest communities outside of FL. GA, NC, SC, etc.
And if smash is going on in the end have whoever is organizing that to hype shit up too…
See now you guys are really talking :). Kup you really made a great point, 40 bucks a night and free food is a freaking steal. Talking over the with the hotel about buffet options and such.
Players think of big tournaments month by month as if it’s totally separated by an entire year. EVO won’t be a huge factor, tons of people can’t afford to go to EVO from the East Coast so Giving them an option for half the price is a plus.
Also this hotel for what it’s offering is actually cheaper than what I could get anywhere else on idrive, Getting a smaller Venue is just a way of saying I don’t wanna do anything big for yet another year. I did CEO 2010 with 3000 in 3 weeks. Investing around 5000-10000 with over 6-7 months of planning is a no brainer.
Seasons Beatings is the EC’s Evo. You have to convince people to come to your tournament instead.
They can do both, especially when Ghaleon and I have been talking on a daily basis, Going to have him come down and help me run the weekend most likely.
Kup, always thinking with his stomach. Just remember what your sister told you, Carlos.
Our scene isn’t even that big. XD
This just in CEO 2011 will be awarding EVO seeding points :). Stayed Tuned for more information.
