EXACTLY. While not currently focusing on crazy random right wing gun nuts who hate all muslims. If you just simply notice the trend that pretty much only one media outlet, bill maher, and a handful of intellects actually criticize islam. Compared to EVERYTHING else that is seeking to apologize for muslims at every single instance. Meanwhile we take big fat shits on christianity all the time. lol. I know i do.
This is coming from me. The militant black guy on this forum, and enough has become enough with all this victimizing from sjws, to black people, to hispanics, to muslims, to women, ect…, Its cry baby shit. No one is implying all muslims are bad except for crazy people, but you telling me we cant talk about the koran at all for the shittiness that it is, like all other dogmatic religions.
This shit is like when i see my people get triggered because a white person says well what about black on black crime, and what is your movement doing to assist that. Its the same stupidity. Just stick your head in the sand and ignore reality.
We are talking about America here, not how Islamic factions manifest outside this country. The factors aren’t the same. This is a person who grew up in this country, not in another country, not under a different government and social setting. Because he sees Islamic extremism represented a certain way by our media doesn’t mean Islamic extremism is to blame. He wasn’t groomed by Islamic extremists. He wasn’t given a mission to kill people in the name of Islam. He saw two guys kissing one day and got mad. Religious dogma is to blame as far as planting the idea about homosexuality, I’m not denying that. That’s not the point I’m making. Millions of people are taught that in lots of religions but almost none shoot up a nightclub. Calling out that he was Muslim fits an agenda, it’s not any more important to the story than when anyone does something out of hate they were taught. However, we only call it out when it’s done by Muslims.
Fuck anyone who says “but the new testament…” because if that was the case, Christians wouldn’t be so rabid about homosexuality. It isn’t really a thing in that part of the bible. It’s the old testament they tout, so you don’t get to discount that ever.
bullshit son, a lot of people do say that. A lot of people link the dumb shit christian groups say as justification for the eradication of Christianity.
so you would extend that same rationale and line of thinking to the people who shoot up and blow up abortion clinics right? Or beat up gays because God, right? I just want to make sure you apply that to all situations
Are you implying america groomed him to become a radical islamic terrorist? That he was just a normal crazy dude who had been checked by the fbi twice, the second time because a guy he was affiliated with ended up heading to the middle east to become a suicide bomber. There is no way he groomed himself to be an islamic extremist at all. Hes just a crazy guy, nothing to see here.
He was just a normal guy off his rocker, who just happened to pick up islamic extremism one day?
So we cant talk about islam ever in your book, other than in theology 101 class? That out of all the religions in the modern world right now, muslims are still by far the most extreme by a long shot means nothing. Because when it comes to christianity, and people being retarded christians, we are happy as fuck to unload on their ridiculous ideologies, but we cant do that for muslims, because what now.
At this rate, i dont know when sensitive ass liberals will ever allow us to talk about islam. Do they need to blow up a few school buses full of children next before we can even at least WONDER where this hatred is coming from, from a cultural and religious viewpoint.
**The argument always falling back to crazy people just being crazy people is fucking stupid, because if this were an attack by a deranged white christian man. Christianity would be on the forefront of every discussion on the internet to msnbc, to cnn, to every podcast, ect…
This idea that there is nothing to commentate on, or question when it comes to islamic culture and belief systems is ludicrous. That in 2016 we’re suppose to just only watch and listen, and not say anything is pretty crazy. **
Based on US definitions, the incidents I listed would be counted as either massacres or mass shootings. We made it harder for any mass killing to be defined as such, which makes absolutely no sense.
Every recent massacre before Port Arthur, was committed with guns. There were about 12 or 13 in 25 years. We’ve had 10 in 20 years, with similar victim counts, barring Port Arthur. A few were with guns, but most are mass killings via arson, stabbing or bludgeoning.
This is why you’ll hear people say the Australian gun restrictions had little impact.
It sad but this shit is the truth
you can look in a newspaper everyday and hear about something happening in impoverished neighborhoods in detroit, chicago, cleveland
Its a very sad situation but the shit i had to read last summer was disgusting especially in chicago
and what do you know its summer again
when the heat comes out the heat comes out
America has never had consistency with its gun laws and being divided as we are now i wouldnt expect too much change anytime soon. weapons have never cared about idealism only access
keeping better tabs on people like this who obviosuly have had a long history would be a start.
the amendment was created to protect but that seems like such a farcry from how its interpreted
legally or illegally.
im feeling the ever increasing need to guard/arm myself even more
Gay guest brought on news talk show storms off set when his point of this incident being a hate crime against the LGBT community are deflected and dismissed.
I feel really bad for the guy. They bring him on for the show for a perspective from the gay community, and they completely dismiss him like they’re talking to a petulent child. Media keeps focusing on his religion and gun control, rather than the blatant homophobia.
It’s the complete opposite phenomenon here. Progressive Americans are too busy saying Omar hates gays just because, he’s a homophobe! That’s all there is too it! Absolutely nothing to do with his religion whatsoever!
it goes both ways…those saying it was just an act of homophobia others saying it was religion… isnt it clear that it is an act of all of these things? …
well, religion being a cultural and political sphere you have to take that into account too so it isn’t simply a case of condemning the religion. It’s more complex which is why people like to just condense it I suppose. The problem is that it just divides us from ourselves. We should be coming together in horrible events like this but we do the opposite
