just call out who you think a top player is (or who you think is better than you) when they are at a session and bring your A game to the table. it doesn’t have to be recorded or official.
as far as who top players are… go by the last tilt tourney.
i dont think the title of this thread was really supposed to make people think that the players participating are the top players in Oregon. if changing the name of the thread would ease some people’s minds, then maybe it should be changed. its not like it was set in stone or anyone was going around saying “yeah im #4 on Oregon’s best players list”, the earlier posts show that David and Angel were looking for a new thread title that was more exciting, apparently this one is too exciting. lol
people who make it out to sessions and tournaments already know who the top players are. they look at who took the money, not whos top on this ladder. all this talk about who is and who isn’t the top players makes me think the title of this thread is throwing some people off base. IMO it should be common sense that if this ladder does not contain every single player’s name that it then does not encompass ALL of OR and thus can only rank the players participating, and not rank them against all of OR but against the other players on the ladder. cept simon xD

BBH, not pointing out anyone in Portland just reflecting on how every scene has those people and its frustrating to see it in my own scene. $$$ shouldn’t be the only driving factor, but that’s just me.
I’d be down for SamY’s 3S-esque ranking system. He’s ready to have his own site for it. If Portland’s top players don’t want this system, maybe they’d be into SamY’s then, and we could get that rolling on more than Friday nights. SamY and BBH are already participating in that one, even.
I would love any ranking system. I don’t care which one. I’m just trying to get Portland into one.

learn the character match-ups, learn what the best options in said match-ups are, and be consistent.
