Personally, I like the graphics and felt they did a great job but I understand a lot of the complaints. With the game having a 5 year plan, I’m sure it will have some sort of upgrade visually to be honest this game is just an extended beta.
All you people talking shit about Necro, Oro and Q a few pages back can suck on Oros old nuts.
And Birdie is awesome in this game, his vskill especially. I mean its so much more unique than everyone else’s in the game.
I don’t really mind the silly aesthetics. I think the Sim super is over the top but that’s about it.
What genuinely bothers me is how close some of the costumes are to softcore porn. Poison was never as bad as that Laura alt costume, that’s just pathetically thirsty. It makes me embarrassed to play the game in front of any adult. Same with the Mika super. It’s pathetic.
Women don’t dress that way, especially not to a fight. That underboob shirt breaks physics, is it glued in place?
Stuff like that depresses game sales and just reinforces the idea that the community is a bunch of horny teens jerking off to videogames. There’s no reason to go that far.
I don’t think it would be a problem if the game actually had females who were not about their looks at all, or where their appearance is blatantly secondary to their fighting.
Karins fine, but that’s pretty much it. I still can’t believe they made mikas costume and animations even MORE sexualized than they were in 2d. It’s like Ono was writing the design doc for Mika with one hand.
Chun-Li’s outfit is neither blatant fan service nor impractical.
Except for her glorious Double G cups and visible thong. Or her alt costume which is pulled straight out of a hentai VN. Or the fact that seemingly every female pre order alt costume has nips/labia/clit normal mapped on including chun. Honestly the unprofessional/sneaky lewdness is pretty off the scale with the pre orders. I wonder if CAPCOM is even aware the texture artist did that.

Chun always huge boobs. Her alt is the same one as her for alt from SFIV and it’s a evening gown. It’s perfectly practical wear for what she does.

She doesn’t wear a skirt, she wears a small loin cloth. She does in fact wear a thong, it’s just not a string thong. And her breasts are so large they have their own gravity (which explains why they bounce around like springs).
Karin is the only girl that doesn’t look like she’s meant to be in a Taimanin game. Despite her spray on leggings she fights in an actual fighting style that isn’t based on panty shots and she doesn’t jiggle like a DOA volleyball character. Chun Lis base costume would be fine if she wasn’t sporting Japanese hentai milf proportions in her T&A.

This isn’t to set up an argument to ridicule one’s opinion or an attempt to paint a user as having no taste, but I’d love to hear some of he redeeming qualities that people find in those two characters. It doesn’t even have to be related to gameplay.
