People wanted SFxT, Capcom made SFxT. People wanted marvel, capcom made mvc3. People wanted more SF so they made sf4. Just cause the game doesn’t play like you want it to or has some shitty dlc practices doesn’t change the fact people want more fighting games.
For note…
CvS2, probably some of the most effort Capcom has put into a game.
MvC2, the least effort Capcom has put into any game.
Both are good games.
Really shows how Fighting Game quality can be an absolute crapshoot.
That’s cute because I have each and every one of the games you mentioned…it’s not just me who’s tired of mediocre crap but it’s people like you ready to spread 'em for Capcom at any given time. I hope you’re atleast using lube.
Capcom had PLENTY of shitty titles before (and after) them, at what point did people start asking for shitty games again?
CAPCOM GAMES ARE MEDIOCRE SHIT, SURE I BOUGHT THEM ALL AND PLAYED THEM A BUNCH, BUT STILL!

Thank god we have such brilliant internet prophets now. Back in my day we actually had to wait until a game came out to find out if it was going to be good or bad, now, we can just ask these assholes.
The games after AE gotten more gimmicky and while the fun you can have with these games is subjective you are essentially suggesting that all of the future games are a must buy.
Future games…who’s the prophet again?
wtf is “gimmicky” except a scrubs definition of a feature they don’t like. Say it with me now
I don’t know how it works, must be a gimmick.
Remember when ex moves, tech hits, supers, custom combos, parries, dashing, alpha counters, safety rolls, tag modes, juggles, ukemi, wall bounces, ground bounces, comeback mechanics, wall combos, etc. was just “that gimmicky shit from that other game”? You say “after AE” like AE isn’t the gimmickiest goofiest shit Capcom has ever done. A game where you can kinda parry but not and kinda roman cancel but not and everybody has an unblockable cross up set up and everybody has different health and stun variables and some characters get up faster or slower or just can’t fucking block some times and somethings are just randomly grab or strike or low or high or air invincible and blah blah blah.
Of the three supposed “good” games released prior to sf4 MvC2 killed two buttons from its predecessors, added mid-combo assists and changed a shit load of otg and air combo rules in many cases at random. SF3 had red parries and tons of random goofy character specific shit including unblockables, guard crushes, and kara throws, and CvS2? The game with SIX completely different ways to gain/use meter, counter attacks, evade projectiles and in some cases, jump? Alpha 3? CFJ? ANY Darkstalkers?
Nah man, that’s your bag. You’re the one that seems to think that just because a game exists it must be bought, played, and judged by some ridiculous competitive standard. All I’m saying is let them be made, why? Because plenty of DO people like them, and who knows, maybe one day they’ll make one you do to. I though MvC3 was stupid, so when U came out, I didn’t buy it. I thought Vanilla SF4 was stupid, so when Super came out, I didn’t buy it. And I thought SFxT was fucking genius, so I bought the hell out of it and play it to this day.
Just because they made a couple games that aren’t my cup of tea doesn’t mean Capcom should just close up shop and give up on fighters again, what the hell kind of logic is that? According to the idiots in this thread, Capcom should’ve stopped making fighting games 20 years ago, since clearly they should’ve known they’d never top ST. You know, the game with FREQUENTLY RANDOM DAMAGE AND DIZZIES.
I know how the gimmicks work smart one. I don’t know how you gathered that from any of my posts unless you’ve played me personally. When you don’t have much of an argument I guess the non sequitor garbage must rear it’s ugly head. Let’s not go that route because you’ll just end up looking like a much bigger asshat than you do now.
Ultras, X-Factors and multi colored gems aren’t anywhere in the same class as the game mechanics you named but it isn’t surprising you’re reaching for anything. Continue acting retarded because someone is bringing up a different aspect your pea brain can’t comprehend.
I have no agenda but you got offended because somebody feels as though Capcom can do a lot better while you are satisfied with the average effort and piss poor results. Even if sales did reflect how people feel about Capcom then you’d just plug your ears and hum a happy tune and gladly continue being a fuck puppet.
Go play DmC or something.
Oh completely forgot about you ST bullshit.
Nobody is saying or even implicating the Street Fighter games should stop BUT there’s nothing inherently wrong with voicing an opposite position as long as it doesn’t cross the line of an unfavorable comparison…which is exactly what you’re trying to.
SF4 will never magically transform into SF3…and nobody is saying it should except you in a vain attempt to bring up phantom complaints.
Do you even read the posts you reply to? I gave you a history lesson. You have told me I liked the taste and feel of Capcom’s penis twice before confirming that you yourself bought and supported every single game you now label as mediocre crap. You call “them” out for eating up whatever Capcom does, when you yourself have done it, multiple times. You’ve done a fine job of insulting me but you can’t give me an actual reason why Ultra Combo, Focus Attack, and XFactor, are more retarded than Custom Combos, Red Parries, and random damage. Otherwise, all you’ve done is reply to a bunch of people in this thread about games they like that apparently they shouldn’t.
I don’t even know what you’re talking about anymore, when did I say anything about SF4 becoming SF3? Because I acknowledge that both are fighting games that people like, they are the same? SF4 is its own game, and people like it. So fans want more. Same with EX, TMNT:TF, and Bloody Fucking Roar. That is not a phantom complaint, that is a goddamned fact.
You don’t seem to get it. It’s my preference to get those games just like it’s my preference to pass up any of the future games due to the gameplay. How you turned my initial statement into some sort of conspiracy theory is beyond me. Furthermore it’s not hypocritical unless you somehow know for a fact that I still own and play these games to this day. There are plenty of people who have played SFxT and have returned it soon after and there maybe people who pick it back up after the patch. None of this means that if you bought the previous titles that you are contractually obligated to get whatever they churn out from now until whenever. It’s just that simple yet a simpleton like you cannot comprehend this.
I’ve broken this down twice now, you’re just being argumentative for the sake of trolling. I don’t have a problem addressing the questions you lobby at me nor did I indicate the gameplay mechanics of the past were infallible but you seem to have selective reading and I’m not going to hold your hand especially when I never addressed you directly from the onset.
But I get it…we should all be grateful to get anything we can from Capcom or else there’s gonna be a shortage of fighting games. You’re quite ridiculous.
This is my favorite part A3 along side being able to mash while getting hit to reduce damage. Start everyone off loaded, so they don’t need to jump back and whiff normals to build meter.
Prefer A2 to A3 due to presentation, CC system and meter usage.
Just saiyan, I hated it when, at the start of a match, players back off and build all their meter and then start fighting 20 seconds later. Not calling out any game or player specifically, just saiyan.
What does that have to do with the Alpha series rayplay?
Because if you’re not a mentioning a game here, then why are you posting in this thread?

Is this for real or is it just speculation? Has Capcom really come out and said they will be making another Alpha or is this just a “what if” thing?
I’d personally be curious to see what route they go with a new Alpha, although I’d be more than happy with a Alpha 2 HD remix or something along those lines.
I hope that if this is for real they include the parry system; I know parrying has nothing to do with Alpha but I’d like to see another SF game that uses it. Oh, and Birdie needs to be of a decent tier this time.
Because I was responding in part to alpha 3 starting with full meter and how people didn’t like that, and my response was that I dislike when people would just back off at the start and build meter. It changes nothing except it makes it more tedious.
But the only game I can think of where that was a factor was Sean in 2nd Impact. I mean, when you looked at intermediate play and above in any capcom game.
MvC2 could technically have moments like this with storm’s fierce but that never really happened.
I just don’t see your point holding up the higher up you go in the level of play.
EDIT: Here’s what I mean with Sean, though now I’m starting to doubt it was even that much of a problem in 2I considering this is the only video I could find of this in a quick search on youtube.

Well yeah, it’s not seen as much in high level, but I’ve seen it happen in matches every now and then and it’s just something that annoyed me.
Skullgirls.
Hold Dat.
Why ain’t you in dat SkullGirls Nick. Peacock/Parasoul is enough to give me my Cable/CapCom fix anyday.
