This patch is supposed to do the impossible:
Make GGPO work better with 3rd Strike.
So the delay makes sense if you think about it. This will either blow our minds and change the face of online 3rd Strike Forever! - or of course let us down again in this wacky port with so many problems.
We shouldn’t keep our hopes too high, but if this patch benefits from the netcode progress made on Darkstalkers, it could be great.
I’m really sick of being paired with ufcgym and other red connections, or half yellow that turn out reddish.
I’ve had green connections that just became the worst things ever.
One time I got a nosebleed from playing on ggpo.
This is what I’m genuinely curious about. Because if IG can’t do it with all the time and money they’ve had to work with, and if Ponder, Damdai, those Chinese dudes that made Arc Live, and that dude behind MameHUB all can’t make a version of 3S that plays if not exactly then close enough to offline than that’s it. Pretty safe to say it’s impossible.
Does bring to mind how the over a million dollar budget for 3SOE was spent. It’s hard to believe that they spent it all on those DLC colors (Hah!), trials, and awesome implementation of GGPO. That they thought they were totally done and didn’t set aside any of that budget to fixing huge issues that could come up…
If the way my local city’s school board is run is any indication of company spending habits in the US then I’d say most of that money went to puh puh puh payroll!!!
Iron Galaxy just tweeted that they got some bugs back from Capcom and are fixing them now.
CPS3 project is going well so far. if we can figure out the angles to keep the costs low everyone can just use that and OE can be for training mode only.

Tell me why, since I left the state, there’s been 2 places that up and made their own 3s cabs. That ain’t even right. And one is right across the street from my college.
There’s a 3S cab in the mall here, but the monitor is fucked up. And I was scared if I bought it, the board would die on me or something.

it was over the moment they started tampering with the soundtrack,the art and the HUD (with no option to rollback to the original ones)
it was pretty clear they didn’t care to respect the sacrality of this software
or maybe they didn’t even know about its sacrality

because right now you can’t really DED properly,it’s hard to know how much “true” GJ meter i have left and pretty often it’s hard to know if your next combo will kill or not
so you might end up using a SA when a simple EX move would have been enough
or viceversa
