Dive kick was funny at first, but they missed their window. No one wants a “fleshed out” joke game. They should have released it long ago.
I emailed them about how to reproduce it, it functions exactly like it does on arcade. Negative edge a button on the same frame as trying to activate an EX equals dropped EX. That’s why you need to hold down the button you use to kara an EX.
I have to say though, most won’t like the change they made to the mirror match “colors”…

bait supers, parry them, ridiculous XP gained, you don’t even have to parry the full thing for the challenge to register most of the time.
I expected they wouldn’t be able to fix the rank if you’ve already gone around the block a few times. not a big deal anyway, I don’t think anyone is relying on rank level to tell them how good the other person is.

I agree with telesniper that the color bars for the character mirrors are not going to be well received by the community. I certainly do not like them.
I just e-mailed IG about it, asking if it’s possible they can revert that change. I told them I would collect community feedback and send it their way. If you guys could post what you thought of the patch overall and of the character portrait color bars for mirrors, that would be helpful.

it sounds like by the time the patch comes out, people are already going to be playing on the next gen systems. i wish 3S was still on ggpo until the fucking patch came out because all these damn problems keeps me from playing it on xbox. i appreciate them actually fixing all the stupid shit but we don’t need “random select”. the start button should have been used for character color select similar to the ps2 version instead of having to go to the main menu options and change it there. super fail sauce right there. only the shitty custom colors should be forever locked in that section of the game and if you wanted to use them you’d have to exit to the main menu, leaving ps2/dreamcast colors to always be selectable. well whatever.
I know it’s not original 3s but those bars don’t look bad. Gradients tend to be really easy to ignore. Aside from that and hearing about the packet bloat getting reduced, I’m kinda excited to try it out. The rest of the changes were all cosmetic anyway and not something I cared about anyway.

In current version, char icons are the same whatever color you picked, making it impossible to know who is who if you started to watch in the middle of the match.
Actually, with netcode (+ping values) and SA gauges, it’s the only thing i really care about on the list…
