while playing online im having the hardest time doing simple things that involve multiple button inputs.
for example: throw, uoh, taunt. i was playing ken and everytime i went for kakatte kina after sa3 i kept getting just fierce punch. i went into training and i got it 10/10 so i know its not my button going out.
kara throws are also much harder to get than offline.
i dont know anything about online play or ggpo, but is it known that it drops inputs?
Not like this, no. I mean GGPO, though. I almost never had a time when I would go for UOH and then get a random fierce or roundhouse instead. Happens like 1/3 tries for me on 3SO, tho. It’s mostly cuz I play people who are orange on the ping, though. It’s rare that I get fucked up commands vs people in the yellow, but still far more often than anything I experienced on GGPO originally.
That’s really wild. I’ve noticed some difficulty depending on how the connection is acting but nothing that drastic. I’ve missed karas that I shouldn’t or wouldn’t have offline a lot though over pretty far distances (TX to NJ). Amongst the localish players though (like NY, NJ, PA and even in MA) when the connection is stable it is a really good experience. Like able to react to stuff a lot better than on PC ggpo, most likely because the speed of the game is much more like the arcade.
On PS3, it seems that the outfit colors (for me at least) are reversed between High-Punch and High-Kick. So that means that in order to pick the seventh outfit, I need to use Low-Punch+Medium-Kick+High-Kick. It’s the same way for all characters. It may be due to me changing the button layout… but who knows.
Here is few features I’ll expect for an upcoming patch:
faster match ranking,
country flag for online game,
ping value in ms instead of red/yellow/green indicator,
predefined video title for youtube sharing for instance : “user1 (char. 1) VS. user2 (char. 2)”,
Please update this list with your own expected Patch features, and hey CAPCOM, I’m not talking about DLC hein, these options should have been at least integrated in the first release of the game, so no charging for these plz. W’ll talk about DLC when bugs, glitches or whatever will be fixed (depends on you).

I just don’t have the SI costumes for Sean, and I can’t beat Gill… Tried turning it to 1 round so I can beat him only once… and nothing.
I have all the trohpies, and all the rest of the challenges are done, minus I think the red parry lvl 5 and the one you get for beating the game with Sean and everybody…
What do trophies have to do with unlocking a costume?
Shit is exactly as fast as the ps2 version, i’m kind of dissapointed
i run the ps3 version parallel to the ps2 version(both on the same kind of CRT) and jumped constantly straight up with ken, between both consoles nothing ever changed in terms of displacements because of speed-differences
Slight annoyance when playing with my pad on 360. Start/Back bring up menu’s when online.
I wasn’t in the mood to hook up my stick, so I figure I’ll squeeze a few games in on my pad.
I noticed a few occasions I accidentally hit start or back and it brought up menus.
This was very annoying as it seems only b backs out of it and its 2 windows with a delay between them.
I’d like that disabled as well.
So, I finally completed Necro’s last trial (elbow cannon x6) after countless tries. I look on the left side of the screen, and it says 4/5 for Necro combo master (after previously being 3/5 a second ago). I knew I did all five, and sure enough, when I back out it says 100% completed for Necro, even though the sidebar says 4/5 for that challenge. I went back and all of them over again, but it didn’t change.
So I guess I’m screwed now if I want to get 100% of everything.
