Online Edition Bugs and Glitches (Problems) List

I just beat the game again with Sean and still, no Second Impact colors. :lame:

I can’t map my buttons! For some weird reason, one button always doesn’t work! The default control settings would be the “regular” to play, but for some reason my medium kick is not working at all, but it does when I map, but not when I play :S I use the “AGE TECH with a converter”. I play 100% good on GGPO, not with third strike. It sucks! It also moves “RANDOM” when I try to select a character, so I end up with the “WRONG” character all the time, wrong art, etc… When I am in the actual match, I press start to pause, and the random jumping stops, but my medium kicks doesn’t work still :S

I am glad I am not the only one! My agetech is my best stick and couldn’t believe I couldn’t map my 6 buttons. The random feature sucks big time!!! Please fix this mapping thing. They work for a while, you pause the game and buttons stop working. Why can’t you move the last buttons? Please FIX THIS!

Are your dipswitches set to default? If they aren’t you won’t unlock anything.

I finished the game with the character, twice, and i still didnt get the achievement for pocket full of quarters.

Dipswitches have nothing to do with it. I unlocked Sean’s second impact colors on PSN by beating arcade mode with Sean and I didn’t do anything with the Dipswitches at all.

I’m dubfounded they did not unbound triggers … Canceling triggers would fix this…

There is a pallette, player swap glitch i found. Not sure if its been discussed previously in this thread

Dunno if this has come up anywhere else, but if you’ve been hit by the stupid 4billion% disconnect rate glitch, does it have any impact on how easily you can get a match on Ranked?

how do you select those colors and how do you know if a character has them unlocked?

You go to downloadable content --> character colors and select 2nd Impact colors. That’s how you know.

I did that and only 1p can select those colors for some reason. Example 1p: Y = green, 2p: x = grey / 1p: x = purple , 2p y = yellow ( Why can only 1st player select those colors?)

game froze at letter grade win screen after I won a ranked match. Had to restart…

Are there any 3S:OE specific ports? I’m just doing the standard X360 ones.

Edit: GGPO specific ports, I mean.

GGPO on PC uses ports TCP 7000 and UDP 6000-6009. Guess you could try those.

Man, this is really sad for something that is called “Online Edition”. You don’t have any filters to work with when searching and when you do, it takes forever. I have NAT 1 (green) and it usually takes around 5 minutes to find a ranked match. When I go to lobbies, I can join any room on the first page. If I scroll down to another page to find a specific room (like Peaceful Jay’s) it won’t let me in. It just loads indefinitely. When I cancel and go back to lobby search, it just puts me in a random room. The whole system is whack.

Edit: I can’t get a ranked match AT ALL today.

Seriously, if there’s any justice the devteam would be sweating their whole weekend fixing the Rank Match nonsense at least - just spent a quarterhour managing to get precisely 0 games.

Of course, there is no justice.

Sorta worried that 3SOE is going to be too much of a fringe title for Capcom to actually care about fixing properly. Oh but there’s always PC GGPO wait not anymore

Minor, insignificant things:

In training, if you use Twelve with X-Copy and set a save state before using x-copy, his color palette will be incorrect if you restore that state after using x-copy.

Similarly, using Makoto’s SAIII and doing the same steps as above does not reset the super. It will still be active when the state restores, although her color changes back to normal.

Gill doesn’t have unique 1P and 2P side character portraits. He did in other versions.

Actually, all the characters had unique character portraits corresponding to the color you picked. But that’s gone now for all characters because of the new artwork.

That’s true. I should clarify.

On the character select screen in past versions, Gill 1P side and Gill 2P side’s colors are consistent with his sprite, so that his red and blue halves are correct for both sides. In 3S:OE, rather than having each side have it’s own pic, they just flipped the art.

How about this one? If you’re fighting Gill, and hard knockdown (with a sweep, for example), you can back up into the corner and turbo jab for the rest of the match while he walks away from you until the timer runs out. Verified it with Akuma and Ryu. Anybody else seen this?
