One, Two, The End! Dudley Combo Thread **Check first post before posting!**

sorry, I put to much slang on it (I’m assuming it’s been posted)
I mean where you get the 1st and last hit of Jab MGB to combo and you can combo a standing or crouching Jab xx jab MGB maybe 2-3 times.

so, it’s a jab xx lp mgb ~ jab xx lp mgb loop?

i haven’t heard anything about that.

I’ve been having an easier time following up EX MGB with a lk ducking. Has anyone else noticed this or am I a fluke?

Is there any reason to use the majority of his target combos for anything other than as a block string to shave a few seconds off the clock if you’re ahead? I can’t think of any circumstance where it would be preferable to use a target for damage unless it’s to fish for an extremely easy to land super or when crouch teching (so out of his huge list, there are approximately two that are situationally good).

And could someone please explain this notation for me? It makes no sense.

Is 2LP supposed to mean two light punches? If so, what does 6MK mean? How do you land two fierce punches without a jump in and without a counter hit?

It’s japanese notation. 2 would be down, and 6 would be forward.
Look at your numberpad for the best representation and imagine the number pad as the joystick, with 5 being neutral.

Ok thank you, although I’m not sure why he didn’t just use “c”, “s”, “f” or “j” as everyone else does in combo notation. I thought there may have been some special link combos up to his BnB that I didn’t know about.

Just managed to actually fadc the second hit of HP and XP dp, thought it was impossbile before.I know that what can be super canceled can be fadc’ed, but this seemed impossible. It seems you just have to input dp motion HP~MP+MK like a plink, but not exactly.See, if you really plnik it, EX dp will come out, you must input MK+MP like 2 frames later.I think you actually have toi nput the focus attack before the dp comes out, that’s why it’s that hard.I don’t think you can fadc the second hit of dp if you hit with the dp a standing opponent, but this works nice in juggles, like lp dp, HP dp fadc , sweep, ultra 2.

So yeah, I just tried to record that weird
I’m going on the basis that this is found already as it is relatively easy. No one has quite told if it is posted already or not.

Right now I’m working on hit-confirming off of cr.lk xx s.mk because if you crouch while hitting mk you get an OS cr.mk to catch backdashes. Also, against characters like thawk or gief it’s nice to have a blockstring that you can’t be SPD’d in between.

That has not been posted before. Thanks for bringing it up.

Stolen

What is Dudley’s strongest combo after a stun w/ and w/o meter? Right now I’m just using j.rh > st.rh xx lp jet upper > hp jet upper/lp mgb(for corners) but I don’t feel like I’m maximizing my damage output

In the corner, probably jumping fierce > fw. fw > st. rh xx lp. jet upper > lp mgb/hp. jet upper (422/404). You could probably substitute the kidney blow with crouching fierce for sum 1 frame link gudness but it’s only 20 extra damage points.

Nice find on the balrog loop.

So now that judge has shared wonderful stuff with us (judge how you always finding stupid stuff liek this? I remember you found the athena infinite too, even though you didn’t have the guide)

Im slowly testing setups on alot of characters. Balrog is easy, youc an just do cr.jab x2 st.rh xx lp machinge gun blow. I looped it corner to corner, so probably just goes forever if you don’t get bored.

The one big addition is I got it on crouching sagat. Not really that useful since you have to do st.mp, cr.jab, st.rh, to get it to hit right, but there may be some other setups. I’ll post mroe when I find them. So far I can’t see anything on ryu, gief might have 1 but he’s weird in hit real.

Also cr.balrog is funny, jab hits him crouching but sometimes if you do jab, strong, the strong will just whiff. Wierd.

Random edit: for crouching sagat, st.jab x 3 st.rh seems more consistnent.

More edit: Just going to say that in general against abel its more consistnet to do 3 crouching jabs if your point blank before st.rh, it looks hella weird when it hits him. Also the timing against sagat is much harder, probably closer to a one frame link. So far Ive been able to get ibuki and some others to be hit int he way that it gives frame advantage, but they are not close enough for anything to link.

If anyone can record the infinite on Balrog and others that would be appreciated. My video was merely for demonstration purposes.
@FullMetalRoss: Some chars need a modified timing of the Jabs, and some require you use cr.Strong instead of st.RH (Deejay for example). I also didn’t test crouching chars. The only other chars I successfully got it on is Abel, Deejay, and Gief (both Gief and Deejay work better with cr.Strong).
But that also brings up another odd point, why does Balrog only take 2 jabs to be set up for the infinite, while every other char it works on requires 3? I don’t recall having such distance issues during links with other chars against him.

Check the first post.

@judge

Yeah Ive noticed some characters really need like one chain’d jab into a linked jab to make the distance right. Its pretty weird. You should try the sagat one, seems like a tighter link but that may just be me. I got three reps on an abel player today and two reps on a balrog. I thkn if you do three reps it does as much as a combo that uses meter. I don’t know how practical but with practice the link doesn’t seem too bad against those two.

First of all I think you can plink LK with LP can’t you?

Also, I find that the list is wrong, I just did some testing using the Dummy Record in training and I found totally different results. I suppose it’s possible that my timing is off, but here is what I found:

Midscreen Not Possible:
Ryu
Ken
Honda*
Ibuki
Dudley
Dan
Dhalsim*
Bison*
Sagat
Guile*
Blanka
Zangief*
El Fuerte*

(*=Could not connect mk ducking straight)

Midscreen Possible:

Hakan
Makoto
Seth
Gouken
Akuma
Gen
Sakura
Juri
Chun Li
Abel
C. Viper
Cammy
Deejay
Cody
Guy
Rufus
Vega
Balrog
Fei Long
T Hawk
Adon
Rose

Perhaps my timing was a little off on the ones I missed, but it’s 100% possible to hit the ones that I did.

I might make a combo video soon of his highest damage combonerz

I suddenly feel very aroused!

are there any combos that go into his overhead. i keep getting kicked out of it. if not, what are some good head games to make them think its not coming.
