The interesting thing is assuming he’s been undercover this long, do the Admirals know? I assume not since when he fought with Kizaru at Sabaody and I doubt that was staged.

So it’s been a long hiatus for me, probably the longest from SRK in 20 years. I’m glad to be back.
Before getting into this current prelude to war chapter, there’s some interesting things I really wanted to cover of the last few months, especially dealing with the flashback.
Laugh’s Tale (formerly Raftel)
What’s interesting is that fact when Roger and co. discovered One Piece they laughed hysterically. This is especially significant because all of the D-clan either smile or laugh when facing death, meaning that whatever One Piece is it clearly ties in with their lineage, and also this Joy Boy who donned a giant Straw Hat.
Rocks D. Xebec
A legendary but mysterious D pirate captain that had a bunch of monsters, future Yonko at that. He must’ve been especially powerful and charismatic to keep them reigned in too, almost as if he might’ve possessed a Devil Fruit ability that trumped theirs. Seeing as it took the combined effort of another set of D folk to take him out, (Roger + Garp) I think he represents the same nega-D attributes as Schwarzbeard aka Teach. It’s easy to see where I’m going with this…
Kaido x Linlin
I could be wrong dead here, but based on his brutish strength and dimwitted nature I still believe that Edward Weevil is a strong candidate of being an unspoken lovechild of Kaido and Big Mom. Kaido owes Big Mom something, that could likely be her silence; they also seem to have a familiarity with each other outside of being former crewmates. How Weevil got in the hands of the old Whitebeard groupie is another story, but I’m damn sure Newgate wouldn’t sire a retarded manchild with this harlot.
Next Level Haki (Beyond Ryou)
We’ve seen some interesting things this arc, one of which are swords that can forcibly steal haki from a user and Luffy learning to use Ryou to extend his armament haki into an object. However, based on what we’ve seen with upper echelon characters like Mihawk (mile wide slashes), Kaido/ Big Mom (passively active armaments), and Shanks (ship bending haki aura), the extent that armament haki can be manipulated can vary wildly. I suspect the final frontier for armaments might be fashioning constructs purely from haki itself, even extensions such as limbs (essentially making techniques like Zoro’s Asura not be seen as mere illusions). It also might mean objects like the poneglyphs thought of as indestructible may be imbued with remnant haki and requires a strong enough haki user to unlock their secrets. Just tossing this one it out there…

Summary
Seeing as Kaido said that his son Yamato is missing on the same day, there’s a good chance we’ve seen him around at some point in this arc. His looks and demeanor might surprise us.
Just like Doflamingo was mirroring the modus operandi of Im when taking over Dressrosa and wanting to achieve immortality, I think Kaido’s inspiration for his crew is based on his time serving under Rocks. Like Xebec he’s taking very strong-willed and unruly pirates and putting them to heel.
It sucks that we have to wait 2 weeks to see Kaido’s son, but Goldenweek is Goldenweek…

I understand what Oda was doing there, but I’m pretty sure either Luffy or Zoro could have just one-shot Apoo there if Oda wasn’t trying to set up the Kid fight.
Don’t sleep on Apoo. He’s a skilled ranged fighter. Now if Luffy or Zoro could close the distance as quickly as Kizaru could? Then yeah he’s free. But they can’t thus he is able to give them some trouble.
Haven’t gotten to the new chapter yet but if any of you are got the Funimation subscription and missed out on it in theaters they dropped the One Piece Stampede movie on their streaming service. These Oda lead joints are cameo filled, canon impossible due to the current long running plots but intriguing spectacles and I love them all.

Ok hold up. That ending. Those last two panels. One of those dudes was definitely Nekomamushi. But that last one. Was that the slim mime looking dude with the cane from the Blackbeard pirates??? The hell going on??? Is neko working with them? Or did the mime looking dude defect from the blackboard pirates?
Or Neko is using them to help take down Kaido. And in exchange the blackboard pirstes get his fruit.

Yeah, I’m not 100% on who that 2nd panel dude is supposed to be, so really fucking well done by Oda to leave us speculating.
Also, looks like rumors of Marco being on hard times were exaggerated. By the numbers the rebellion is still fucked, but he just made it about 2% less impossible for them.

Yo on second after looking at that 2nd pic carefully. That can’t be that dude from the blackbeard Pirates. He has a colored shade on his lips. But it aint lip stick. And his hair isn’t long and straight like in that panel. It flares out and stops at his neck. Also it seems he’s making sure to cover the scar across the nose a certain character has.
Now Oda is one for out of left field surprises. So I’m gonna throw something crazy out there. That is a woman. And that woman is Madam Crocodile. Now hear me out.
I think its obvious he wasn’t always a man. Judging from that interaction he had with Invanko. Talking about he knows Crocodile’s secret. Which shut him up and put fear in him. That with Invanko’s fruit powers. Croc must’ve asked to be turned into a Man. So he can better compete among the other pirates.
But maybe his fruit powers aren’t permanent. So croc has to visit him from time to time for more hormone injections to maintain his male form. But given how shit went down at the Riveier with the Revolutionaries. Ivanka may have gotten killed. Thus leaving croc unable to maintain his male form any longer. Maybe he ( she ) found out someone in Wano or amongst kaido’s crew has that fruit. And is joining the fight to get to it.
Or it could just be a member of the Whitebeard pirates lol Edit: Just looked up Izo. Yeah that’s definitely him.
This is the first I’ve heard of Madam Crocodile, and it’s been a thing for a while now. Oh hell nah, I do not accept that, I hope it doesn’t happen. Funny as hell tho 
Lol. You gotta admit though. The theory has legs to stand on. Ivanko and Croc’s exchange in Impel down and Croc’s reaction says alot

I know, that’s what scares me, it could possibly be true. It’s damn convincing, I just don’t want it to be. Hell of a plot twist tho if Croc changed into a man just to get more respect on the seas. lol
