If Luffy wanted to stretch with any of his limbs heād still be able to, the contact point will be as if heās regular human, but he will still retain his power. Itās also the same reason why Akainu could still phase through haki attacks and still use his powers simultaneously.
Blackbeard removes the DF power in every respect.
Shanks specifically said that the scar he received wasnāt because of a cheap blow to Whitebeard, and that he was well aware of Blackbeardās intent. Iām pretty certain Oda wrote this in precisely because he predicted Blackbeardās strength might be undermined by his personality to readers.
Also, Blackbeard has been seen fighting only with his fists. Not knives or guns or anything.
Yet the scar he gave shanks is in the shape of a claw mark. He was logia before he got the darkness fruit. Cerberus logia, bet it!

Meh. I always got the impression that he used hand-claws or something like. It seems like it would be pretty damn difficult even for him to hide having a Devil Fruit for two decades given that heād likely have to interact with ocean water at some point or another. Also, didnāt he give those scars to Shanks before he betrayed Whitebeard? It could be weapons that heās never bothered using on-screen so far since heās had bitching Yami Yami powers; kind of like how Sanji never uses a knife even though heās damn good with them.
That said, Iād rather like to see a Cereberus Zoan now. At this point, Iād rather like to see a major (villainous) character be a Zoan since the closest thing weāve seen to that at present is Lucci, who Luffyās beaten, and Drake X, who is the ārookieā with the most ambiguous morality at present. All other big players seem like theyāre either Paramecia or Logia or, in Shanks, Garp, Rayleigh and perhaps Mihawkās case, ājustā human.

I think itās more that Luffy, being Luffy, can only vaguely recall that heās heard the name before, but canāt remember where heās heard it from. You have to remember that he was told the story by Boa and her sisters 2+ years ago and, while he was paying attention for once, he usually did tend to ignore or be oblivious Boa and is used to disregarding things she says. He might remember eventually, though.
I especially like how he isnāt being ham-fisted about like a lot of other comics, Japanese or American, tend to be when it comes to social issues, i.e. the entirety of Marvelās Civil War, the āNorth Koreaā parallel in Hunter x Hunter, the environmental angle in Parasyte, etc.
Fishmen have always been around and, even when we learned about the whole racist angle went both ways (and, indeed, started with humans), we didnāt suddenly get āoh, everything Arlong did is so totally understandable and forgivenā and have Arlong (OR Hachi) suddenly be made into tragic figures. Hell, Hachi hasnāt even technically redeemed himself even though he and the Straw Hats on a hell of a lot more friendly terms.
This issue struck a nerve for me Oda is tackling the debate between who was right between Mlk and Malcom X and is teaching japanese children about it and iis doing it in the best way possible. DUDE IS A GOD DAMN GENUS WRITER.
