Is it just me or did Jimbei notice the flying axe at the same time Luffy did? They both had the same kind of reaction just before Luffy knocked it away.

I hadn’t really noticed Jimbei display any obvious Haki, though he did stop one of Akainu’s fists didn’t he? It would look like he also has Kenbunshoku Haki though if he and Luffy both reacted to the axe.

I always wanted to see Luffy do Gomu Gomu No Maelstrom where he combines Rifle and Storm together for an ultimate raged attack. (+ Haki!)

Jet Hanabi would look incredible.

I actually thought it would be cool if Luffy toppled Mariejoa and the WG HQ with Gomu Gomu No Jet Giganto Fireworks + Haki.

what was the point of blackbeard getting the darkness fruit outside of stealing whitebeards quake fruit?

Nullify DF powers? You can do that with haki, he can’t phase through attacks so darkness being a logia is worthless infact he sustains even more damage. Its like he became a weaker version of whitebeard since his darkness fruit doesn’t really add anything.

Or am I missing something here?

Haki doesn’t nullify Devil Fruit powers, not even the ocean does. All haki does is bypass the defense of Logia users and hit their natural self.

Blackbeard takes away their Devil Fruit ability completely, so long as he touches them. And even though everything hits Blackbeard, he doesn’t sustain any normal damage, which is why after he’s hit the injuries you see disappear a panel or 2 later. So his Logia power still protects him in that aspect. His power also comes from the “Devil itself”, which is bound to have importance later on.

Now that I think about it, if Brook was touched by Blackbeard, he’d die! :wow:

i just read the plot to toriko and it sounds rediccuuulouuss.

Interesting thought. Chopper would turn back into a wild reindeer by that theory. It would have been cool to see the effect on Sengoku during their fight.

Blackbeard has no Haki probably and is extremely weak willed.The only reason he has made it this far is literally off of Luck and on the backs of others who did all the real work.He is a coward ,a fool and all around scumbag.Dude doesn’t fit the description of a D and makes you wonder who the hell he killed and stole there name .Sense its common for folks to steal names in One Piece.

His Devil Fruit would definitely instantly kill Brooke again and brooke would become a spirit.

I find one thing interesting about Brooke its possible for him to make muscles or put power into strikes by using haki.If Zoro can create extra arms and heads.Its completely possible for Brooke to will himself to have strength behind his strikes

Oh I’m not saying that he isn’t a coward, but he still has strong ambition. His goal is to become Pirate King and currently he’s made great strides into achieving his dream. All of his elaborate plans have worked (with a little bit of luck) and he’s shown that he has the patience to carry them out. A person of weak will wouldn’t attempt anything like this on a whim.
