I was wondering how they would handle dude’s death and it was pretty good, sucks a little that it appears only Luffy and maybe Whitebeard heard his last thank you. But overall well handled.
Next episode should be the last Whitebeard vs Akainu, which I hope they expand to take the entire episode, but it will be even more interesting if they still show Whitebeard rolling around with only half a face as well.
GGPO Ace, no doubt you will still appear in One Piece fighting games at least.
Luffy already has some resistance towards poison (his 3rd fight against Crocodile), but thanks to Magellen and Iva hormones, he’s developed a small immunity. Kinda like getting a flu shot in the winter. You can still get the flu but your body has some resistance against it since it learned how to fight against it. Luffy won’t be taking on Megellen again any time soon and he won’t be immune to what Magellen throws at him. But the effects shouldn’t be so sudden.

A ship has escaped form the clutches of New Fishmen Pirates
Pirate named Gyro the Crab Hand, and his crew.
They plan to go through the Red Line and resurface on the other side, in the New World.
They were attacked by the Kraken just like Luffy and the strawhats, but managed to escape and run
…only to find themselves surrounded by the sea monsters.
They agreed to join the New Fishmen Pirates just to get through that predicament, but they were just putting on an act to find the chance to escape.
The fishmen notices they ran away
New Fishman Pirate Lieutenant: Dosun, fishman of Hammerhead Shark
New Fishman Pirate Lieutenant: Zeo, fishman of Japanese wobbegong shark
New Fishman Pirate Lieutenant: Daruma, fishman of Cookie-cutter shark
New Fishman Pirate Lieutenant: Ikaros Muhhi, fishman of Giant Squid

The shark seen freed from the Kraken, wearing the Crimmin shirt, is named Megalo
Neptune asks him: You’re sure this is the place?
King Neptune invites them (Luffy and co) to the Ryugyu Palace. Pappag and Camie are astonished.
Scene returns to bottom of Fishman town of Noa
Hodi Jones appears in front of Crab Hand Jyro and his crew, with handcuffs on his arm.
The vile drug he took earlier is called E.S (Energy Steroid)
Jones juggarnauts to the ship, and wrecks havoc
He bites the flesh off the pirates, and shatters the Crab Hand.
The reason why he’s handcuffs is to show that he’ll destroy them all even without using his hand.
Explanation of E.S
The first pill doubles your strength, and the second doubles again.
“This marvelous power comes at a cost… it shaves life off you”
“But we care not for our death, we will go forth with our operation!”
“The life of Fisher Tiger, shattered by the humans! The will of Arlong!

The Crab-hand’s ship is wrecked in pieces.
It’s engulfed in bubble, and floats to the bottom of the sea (did T actually mean surface here? lol)
Jones: Zyahahaha… I have to make sure you live… to tell the surface world of what happened to you under the sea… who did this to you… tell the humans up there your fears!!
We are the center of this world… We will take away this Fishman Island from the hands of cowardly Sea God Neptune, and bring you humans down to the dark depth of the sea!!!
We’ll make you all know that the Fishmen are the ultimate race!!

some random thoughts:
If Arlong was trying to prove the superiority of fishmen, what’s going to happen when it gets out that Nami was part of his crew. Hachi is going to have a big part to play here explaining things.
Luffy is probably gonna end up doping also.
Luffy has some natural resistance to the Earthquake fruit with his own power.

I’m really digging the fishmen designs in this chapter, especially Zeo’s; Hodi looks a lot more sauve version of Arlong facially.

I honestly should have expected someone in important to be a coelacanth.
I always “complain” I guess that every one piece arc is the same, and this one is no different.
They’ve come to the new place, the rules of the place are established, they make some new friends who hang with them through the new arc, there is a bad guy, the bad guy has some powerup specific to the place, the bad guy has a crew of people for non luffy people to fight, and then Luffy beats them up and they go to a new place.
I guess I should have used a semi colon there? Whatever.
But even though every arc is the same, I super lol’d when they neptune guy showed up. I also love all the fishman pirate designs.
I can’t wait till Luffy punches him to non death.

Kinda cool how, Hodi destroyed a whole crew, but left the bubble in tact. The dark, cruel history of fishmen definitely won’t be erased like they say.

Hodi being a Great White Shark Fishman doesn’t surprise me, but I do like the fact that his crew is just setup to face all of the Mugiwaras. I’m going to like this a lot.
Hodi’s strength is impressive but he doesn’t give off a fearsome vibe, too confident. Luffy will send him flying, Haki style.
If anything the Octupus Fishman swordsman seems much more of a threat.
I like the Coelocanth Neptune Merman, he must be hundreds of years old. That whale looks huggable.

Out of all of them, Zeo looks like someone who could do some serious damage.
I was a little disappointed at how the pill/drug thing was carried out; it was very unoda-like (i.e. the details and whatever were revealed in the very same chapter). Now obviously if the drugs don’t play too much of an important role (though at this point, I doubt), then it wouldn’t matter as much.
