Luffy definitely going to level up next chapter. Dofla getting too desperate so he is definitely getting beat (and probably brought in by Fuji) here.
Might be one of the best ways to start reading one piece if youâre starting out. The black and white does have itâs charm though.
My nigga Sabo too stronk. I like his little nod to the Blackbeard Pirates being Luffyâs fight, and the throwback to Ace in Alabasta. âI have no quarrel with your crew, but I wonât let you lay a hand on my little brother.â
Nice Big Damn Heroes moment with the Gladiators getting a Phoenix Down from Manshelly. Zoro and Franky going in, and are going to buy Luffy that extra minute he needs.
Doflamingo slaughtering the fodder, and slowly losing his composure, setting up his eventual downfall.
Letâs go, Luffy! Two more chapters, max and Doffy is done.
Thought on Zoro and birdcageâŚ
Zoro- âOver the nine mountains and eight seas there is nothing I cannot cutâ
Iâve been lied to
When was the last time one of Blackbeardâs crew got beat that bad
Probably the first Magellan fight where they got one shot and had to be saved by someone else.
Blackbeard pirates would be pretty much dead if Shiryu didnât give them the antidote
I love this panel:

Doflamingo is completely unhinged, which looks awesome, but will also be his downfall.
Sabo using Dragon-themed techniques and having the Mera Mera no Mi is an awesome combination.
I have a feeling Luffy isnât just going to do a repeat of what he did in Gear 4th once he recovers, since not even that has been enough to stop Doflamingo completely. I think heâs going to take an even more drastic gambit and unveil a technique even more risky and unrefined.
I would just like to remind everyone that Doflo, this monster of a man with all his rage, evil, ridiculous endurance, Conquererâs Haki, near OP devil fruit⌠is still afraid of Kaido.
Oh and what the hell is Fuji doing? Is he really just gonna chil and let the people be slaughtered. Maybe heâll come in at the last second and say âfuck it, Ima float these strings into orbitâ
Luffy gonna use gear 5 and turn environment into hardened haki rubber but not perfectly ⌠not completely being able to master it but just enough to defeat mingo âŚ
ahhh one can dreamâŚ
The thing that gets me is that, monster as he is, Doflo was what, maybe the eighth strongest person at Marineford?
This is what Iâm wondering. Heâs supposed to be an Admiral. Why is he sitting on his hands at this point?
I actually really like the pacing of One Piece. When you go back and read a full arc, not having to wait a week between chapters it makes it a lot more enjoyable and
IIRC he canât get involved because Dofla is still a shichibukai, so he canât interfere without making the world govt. look bad.
donflamingo being a shichibukai and a tenryubitto really makes it hard for Fuji to do anything.
âTread Lightlyâ
Motherfucking Sabo aint letting Burgess do anything.
As much hate Doflamingo deserves, dude is seriously determined to win. Getting smashed wirh Gear 4 and coming back 10x angrier and determined is scary. His glasses didnât even move yet.
I understand he canât get directly involved in the fight.
But I would think he would be more proactive about stopping the birdcage. (Besides trying to break it with meteor)
Protecting the civilians are his number one objective.
So far anything that impacts birdcage gets cut up, I do wonder what those spots at the end of chapter were on his panel.
But as much as I like the guy, we have to probably draw the conclusion that despite getting the Admiral level, he isnât as strong as Aokiji and Akainu were and thus not in Doffyâs level even if he was ALLOWED to directly attack him. Time will tell but then again, maybe someone should send Oda some American comics featuring gravity powered characters so he knows how broken that ability is beyond making stuff fall down or float.
Not as strong? Yeah, right. The guyâs ability allows him to pull goddamn pieces of land out of the sky. He can crush whatever land someone is on. Sure, itâs not a logia ability but itâs nothing to scoff at. He doesnât even need to call down meteors. He couldâand hasâcreated gravitational fields around him during a fight to make it nearly impossibly for anyone to fight normally around him.
All that. And heâs BLIND AS FUCK.
A further point regarding Doflamingoâs glasses, notice that nearly everyone in his âfamilyâ has either a significant character or physical flaw or exaggerated quirk (Picaâs voice, Baby 5âs gullibility, Trebolâs frail body, Diamanteâs feigned bashfulness, Vergoâs table manners, etc.) It only serves to hint that Donquixoteâs predilection towards eyewear hints at some kind of malformation.
Itâs quite obvious that Fujitora has yet to show more than 1/10th of his ability. His entire persona is based on restraint and patience. Weâre talking about a man who can not only pinpoint a passing satellite in space, but also summon it at an exact location with his gravity ability. Logia may have the strongest standard class, but Whitebeard aka the former âWorldâs Strongestâ showed that Paramecia types arenât slouches. Imagine Fuji in tryhard mode?! Even when engaging Sabo, he was merely setting a stage where he could communicate without the prying eyes of his subordinates. His clash with Doflamingo was initiated by Doffy, where he also showed restraint by not engaging him further; he even states his more judicious plan to get rid of him by stripping the Shichibukai title away altogether. Although his rank supersedes a Shichibukai, Doflamingoâs secret knowledge and Tenryuubito heritage makes him impossible to engage without serious blowback. Due to this, he has to maintain composure and let the cards fall where they may, hence him openly stately that heâs gambling the fate of Dressrosa on Luffyâs shoulders (i.e., the moment they first crossed paths in the gambling area is now an allusion for these current events). Issho has been wisely playing chess and it clear heâs merely using his position as Admiral to further his goals of restoring true balance⌠Blind Justice
Dofy has the strongest haki on his Shades. That why they donât ever break!
