One Piece Thread: Gear 2nd!

So a random idea hit me today about black beard. What do you guys think the chances are that he is the son of a celestial dragon and pirate with the will of D?

The English Dub of the Anime finally is available online at the Thriller Bark Arc.

New chapter is out. Enjoy!

makes me want to go back and see them kick virgos ass at the factory again.

Also a small note, but Kishi and Oda paid respects to each other this week. Can you find them?

kishi is easy

They’re both easy tbh.

Dammit, Oda, STILL not done with the flashback?

Okay, it was a good chapter. But next chapter had BETTER be the last flashback.

Though, granted, I should’ve seen it coming…

Spoiler

Hard to fit all the previous Law references into one chapter, between knowing what the birdcage is like, how he learned to use the Ope Ope fruit, and how scary Vergo can be when he’s mad.

Nice of the 2 most famous modern mangakas paying tribute to one another, even though I’ve never been a fan of Naruto.

Anywho, Vergo showing up like that was such bad luck. I guess next week we’ll find out how Roci bites the bullet. sigh

so the rule of onepiece is flint gun>>>>>>any pirate of any rank

Nice chapter but I really hope Oda doesn’t drag this for too long or at least immediately after this gives us a good fight with either Zoro obvious domination of squeaky voice, One legged gladiator Kratos vs Diamante (since Rebecca is just one big coke bottle shape young woman of disappointment as a fighter) or Robin+Bart+Cavendish vs Gladius and his Steam punk- Super Saiyan swagg.

uh…stupid question.
Whatever happened to the most important storyline in One Piece?
yunno the most important storyline don’t you?
about Robin searching and finding all the lost hidden monuments with gliphics carved on them that only she can read that explain not only the history of their world but much much more importantly…reveals where the location of the one piece treasure.
that storyline.
involving the clues to finding one piece.
yunno one piece?
what the entire adventure of luffy is centered around.
that.

I have a bad bad feeling this manga+anime is gonna go on for another 15+ years.
ay yah yay.

the one thing I really hate about OP is that it just strays so off course from the main objective(finding one piece) every time they land somewhere, and that they go on for countless chapters on whatever occurs on said island totally derailing the main quest…to the point even the fans forget what One Piece is even about.

like I don’t mind deviation from the search for the OP treasure…but damn man. I cant even remember the last time Robin found a ancient monument. I think it was years ago. wasn’t the whole point of going to the new world to find more monuments???

da fuck is this manga/anime even about anymore.
its like Oda forgot himself.
or maybe he’s stretching this shit out as much as possible for dat $$$.

but damn. its exhausting already.
Naruto is finally done.
Bleach will soon end.
both past due.
But this shit is way too overdrawn.
They aren’t even close to finding OP yet.
I have a really bad feeling we are gonna get the world’s most rushed unsatisfying ending everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

just my opinion.
still though. really wish Oda got back on track here and stop meandering the story so much.

Lol, a bad feeling when it’s already been confirmed that we’re a tad bit pass the half way mark. Another 10 years is guaranteed.
Also the manga is about the adventures of Luffy and his crew. Finding One piece, finding all blue, becoming the greatest swordsman are just goals and ambitions they have. You can’t expect every island to be geared toward them when it’s already been shown each island has it’s own culture and problems. Dressrossa by the way actually doesn’t derail Luffy’s goal of becoming pirate king since it leads to challenging Kaido.

Please don’t compare one piece to kubo and kishi’s shitty works.
One piece having a terrible ending? That’s for you to decide bruh.

I don’t think Oda’s forgotten about it. He has a habit of teasing you with it, by dropping small bits of information.
And every so often, he lets a larger piece of information drop (ex one of the ancient weapons was revealed in the last arc)
One piece may last another 7-10 years, but I don’t believe most people will complain, given its high quality of story telling.

Usopp once asked all these questions. Luffy answered it in chapter 507.

Oda has a way of making you forget pieces of the plot and then hitting you over the head with them later.

Will of D? Now Law has been revealed as a D.

Poneglyphs? There was a big ass Poneglyph on Fishman Island… That Robin saw and read.

Ancient Weapons? Void Century? Princess Shirahoshi was revealed as one of the Ancient Weapons and its clear the Tenryuubito have a lot to do with the lost 100 years of history.

Unlike those other two hacks, Oda has all this shit planned out in advance…
Just because a plot point gets glossed over now, doesn’t mean it won’t be important later. Hell, seemingly minor characters and scenes turn out to be much, much bigger pieces later on. Like Garp being featured in the cover story training Coby and Helmeppo, then almost 300 chapters later being revealed as not only a D, but Luffy’s grandfather.
I’m betting this cover story with Jinbei turns out to be much more important later as well.

The feels are just too SUPER!!!

KAMI!!!

That kid, good luck to him. He’s found his “One Piece.”

And to clarify Oda’s storytelling: One Piece is more about adventure and character development. Finding "One Piece"without these occurrences and developments would devalue the treasure. Even the Dressrosa arc is providing a ton of relevant hints of the past and Doflamingo’s bloodline and motivations tie into this Void Century. Remember, he has clout mainly for the secrets he’s keeping.

So yeah, I just caught up to OP after stopping at the start of the Fishman Island Arc. Glad to be back gents.

the one piece end prize thing, silvers already offered them to just tell them what it is on the archipelago , clearly no one was interested unless they “earned it”
