Iām liking the pace of this thing. Nice way to handle a crapload of characters without having to spend forever doing one duel at a time (Iām looking at you, Bleach).

Still, Toy Robin has a chance at getting close now, since she apparently hasnāt been contracted yet. Mustāve been out of sight when she tried to do her part.
My guess is that Usopp takes the elevator up, gets chewed out by Franky, and they pair up for a second shot. Alternately, he gets a swift kick in the ass by Toy Robin before he gets that far.[/details]

I donāt get why Odaās got Usopp being extra bitch-made right now. I mean dude stayed on that island, came back with some courage, and now he chooses to run like a coward?
Iād understand it if he was running to gather reinforcements, setting up some traps, or finding a longer distance to snipe from. But this shit?! āCāmon, Son!ā just isnāt enough to describe how I feelā¦

This is what ruined the chapter for me, and seeing Ussop puss out when everyoneās counting on him only made it worse. Damnit Oda, what the hell are you doing!? How long are you going to keep trolling us like this!? Itās like you donāt even know what to do with Robin anymore, and here I thought she was about to get a proper fight but instead you pull this bullshit! Seriously guys, you have no idea how much this is pissing me off right now. I mean really, all we fans have been asking for is for Robin to get a real fight in this arc. Isnāt that too much to ask, Oda?
Gaaaaaah, screw this! Iām gonna go back to work (Iām currently on break), as well as working on the next chapter of of my fanfic, Shadow Blossom, to calm myself down (and maybe do some gaming once I get home). -_-
Considering he had the balls to face Luffy mano a mano to defend a ship, it does look pretty bad that post-timeskipUssop doesnāt have to courage to at least try and McGyver up a plan of some sort. There are more people counting on him than ever.
But we all know heāll redeem himself, itās still not a good look for a someone wanting to be a āBrave Warrior of the Seasā.
The most amazing part of reading this chapter was the surprising terror I felt when I saw Soldier-san nearly exploding. Only One Piece can make you care for a broken ship and a one-legged toy soldier.

Also, Zoro needs to take some lessons from Vergo in fighting Logia-types. How do you land a blow on a guy whoās lodged up in all your surroundings? You armor up those swords of yours and slice EVERYTHING.

To be fair Robin was at a disadvantage against both of them (as I predicted), but I didnāt expect her to get touched by Sugar as easily as she did.
Usopp better have a plan. Nami is looking stronger than him nowadaysā¦
Actually she is stronger. Oda has said that Ussop will always be the weakest crew member.
I just hope by the time the series reaches its end heāll at least be as strong as Romance Dawn Luffy.
Usopp has really been shining the past two arcs while Nami really only has the fact she Tag-Teamed with Usopp to beat Baby 5 and Buffalo right now (and they were running away when Nami attacked them.) Granted we havenāt seen any of the Strawhats go all out yet, but right now Usopp WAS looking better than Nami at leastā¦
Which is just disappointing. When I think of a āsniperā I think of a cool, composed, and calculating badass. Usopp has been my least favorite Straw Hat for like 8 years now. Just canāt get into his personality. He does have his moments, but theyāre so few and far between.
I know Iāve said this before but I wish that the Straw Hats had a sniper like Van Augur.
Also, knew that Shinjojin was going to be mad about Robin being turned into a toy. Aha.
It kills me inside that Oda wants Ussop to stay weak.
I was hoping he would take over his dadās role when the Strawhats eventually surpass the red hair pirates.
Ussops too much of a coward to be a badass like yasopp.
To be fair, a cowardly sniper would make for the best sniper, because heād make sure he never gets discovered/caught by the enemy after the shot, and heād have all the best hiding spots/camping locations on lock.
That said, Usopp just lost mad man points, especially after all the cool shit he did on Punk Hazard.
Robin, NO! I just wanted you to be able to do SOMETHING for onceā¦ Robin always catches the short end of the stick in these fights. Since sheās not naturally inclined for fighting, I hope she takes on the Sanji role of being stealthy and planning ahead so the rest of the crew can succeed or something other than getting her ass handed to her time and time againā¦
I still think a Van Auger x Ussop battle is slated in the future. Van Auger is no joke though, and one sadistic mofo.
