What Po Pimpus said. Crocodile, like Ener, is a weird Shonen case of the character beating a character thatās obviously much stronger than them at the moment but without getting a free power-up to do so.
You have to remember that Crocodile almost killed Luffy three times, straight-out winning two of those times and basically getting into a tie that he ultimately lost because Pell āsacrificedā himself (since Luffy Stormāing the shit out of Crocodile didnāt stop the bomb, which would have caused Crocodile to still win).
Iād ultimately say that Crocodile at that point and at the point where he showed up to help at Marineford at least stronger than Moria, which is saying something considering how the Strawhats had just fought Moria. It also helps that competent Logia users, even without Haki, are just absurd.
Maybe, but I would LIKE to think that Perona did some of her own training, perhaps developing a new way to use her fruit power besides doing the negative thing, her motivation would be defeating her āarch rivalā Usopp.

Seriously I think he had the funniest moments this chapter. Peronaā¦god dayum her new design looks amazing, but so far needs more show from the other characters. I wanna see what the rest can do
Letās not forget that if Robin didnāt have the antidote in advance, Luffy wouldāve died from the effects of the poison after he defeated Crocodile. Croco had so many details covered that Luffy won with as much luck as he did verve.
lol I think if she did improve this wouldāve been a nice chapter to show it, but seeing as she has no real stake in the Mugiwaras, I donāt think she did anything but act as a whiny glorified maid. </The Jeffersons>
Croc got beat by the combination of the fact that he had greatly underestimated Luffy (an unknown rookie at that point) as well as the other fact that Luffy had found a way to counteract his Devil Fruit.
Whatās killing me more is the panel above that, since you can clearly see one of the okamas with a marine in āherā mouth. Man-eater indeed!

I donāt think Dragon should be worry about the crew getting involve with the marines and he doesnāt have that impact relationship compare to the other crew
I got a theory on the Ancient Weapons and Kingdom. What if all the ships are merely vessels for the Devil Fruit Users and can be feed devil fruits. The weapon pluton could very well be a ship that is meant to be powered by the Yami Yami Fruit. Pluto was the god of the underworld so a ship with that power would be extremely dangerous whole fleets and cities could disappear in minutes . Poseidon could be a ship that is supposed to be powered by The Gura Gura fruit.A ship that had that power could destroy entire fleets with hugh tidal waves and sink entire continents and cities. Poseidon controlled the sea and could create earthquakes at will. The third possible ancient weapon could be called Zeus the most powerful of all ancient Olympian gods and the ruler of the entire world. That ships fruit could possibly the Goro Goro Fruit. It could ran down lightening and thunder and destroy the city and entire countries.
Glad to see the crew back together, found it funny how everyone had help from the people that they ended up with. Something tells me Zoro got some of that Perona booty.

Yeah, if you think about the guys that grabbed the fake Robin as being Revolutionaries (looks like the Marines donāt have the market cornered on dumb mooks) and Brookās double crossing managers as catalysts for their escape, which in a odd way they were, the only one that didnāt get help was Franky.
But given what he did to that island, it should be expected.
