One Piece Thread: Gear 2nd!

The idea of Kizaru being Admiral amuses me greatly.

I wish Ussop still retained his badassness post-timeskip Shabondy. I don’t mind him cowering under hoooge threats, but not as often as I seem him do it now.<br><br><br><b>Unreal:</b> The reason why peeps have high hopes for Coby si because his dream is to become a friggin’ Admiral. That may not be Pirate King level ambition but that’s still a lofty goal for a Marine grunt coming out of total obscurity.<br><br><br>( ÍĄÂ°ï»ż ͜ʖ ͥ°)<br>

Three words, man: “YO. FUCKING. DAMN.”<br>

What the fuck, Buggy is a Shichibukai???

How the hell did DoFlo get that??<div><br></div><div>Buggy as a Shichibukai is hilarious.  I wanna know how that happened.</div>

Why is Jewelry Bonney still a thing?<br>-<br>I’m pretty sure Don uses his string as a security measure. Like how spiders use tripwire to know when something enters it’s territory. <br><br>

Woah there.

She’s a big deal, according to the Marines.  I actually re-read some older chapters and Akainu was relieved to recapture her after Blackbeard took off, realizing he wasn’t going to get his ship from the Marines.

<span style=“font-style: normal;”>Here’s a theory: when DF users die, their abilities can be recovered.  That much we can guess from what Blackbeard did.  But the question is </span><i>how</i>.  There’s supposed to be an actual devil inside a DF user, right?  My guess is when the host body dies, the devil becomes an edible fruit again, ready for someone to eat.  I don’t think devils simply die when the host does.<div><br></div><div>If we go by this theory, you can figure out how DoFlo got that DF: he simply dug up the corpse and removed it.</div>

Well we theorized that Bugsy would become one of the new Schichibukai - though I’m irritated at ‘hiding the other one’ - “The one I discussed before”. (sigh)<div><br></div><div>Here is my big question.  I thought that DF fruit appeared ‘randomly’ (well grew).  The way all this sounds - with DoFlo proclaiming it as ‘Ace’s’
makes it sound like some shit on The Sims where you die and your DF fruit just ‘pops up’.</div><div><br></div><div>And of course, I didn’t say anything last week, but when I saw this picture http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/699 - where Luffy has on haki w/ Ace’s fire - it made me wonder if he was going to get some kind of ‘power boost’.  This chapter only foreshadows it more.</div><div><br></div><div>This dude could become Super Skrull minus the Inviz Chick hahaha.</div><div>- /:)</div>

Don stayed at Marineford for a while after the war maybe he went to grave with a fruit before anyone else did or even was near Ace when he died with a fruit. <br><br>Ceaser knows how to use extract DF from dead hosts (manga when ceaser kills and revives his pet) and he works with Don so it’s not even a question of how he got the DF it’s when.<br>

I just assumed that was his “Red Hawk” special move.<br><br>“Pirate Dispatch Society”. I can’t wait to see what THAT’S about. I guess it’s too much to hope that Buggy has become a legitimate bad ass, but I guess it will be more entertaining to see him bullshit up the ranks. I’m really interested to see the abilities of some of those ex-con Buggy followers that even Whitebeard acknowledged would be a problem if they went against him.<br>

How in the fuck did Buggy become a Warlord?<br><br>Shanks must of laughed his ass off when he found out.<br>

It’s actually pretty obvious how he did.  He put together a large influential crew at the war, has his name plastered everywhere and pretty much is one of the biggest ‘names’ in the pirate world.  It’s not so much about power as it is about influence.  “Pirate Dispatch” sounds more like influence than straight up ‘power’.<div>- /:)</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><blockquote class=“Quote”>

It could be, but for what Luffy’s ultimate end-game - he needs ‘more’.  evne with his haki boost, its obvious he’d STILL get bodied by Admirals, he’s still not in Blackbeard’s tier.  His training made him ‘New World Capable’ IMO.  And there has been various foreshadowing, from Luffy’s physical transformation to look more like Ace to the comments about Ace’s abilities that make it seem like he’s due for something like that (eventually - not now).<div>- /:)</div>

Is it me or has White Shadow predicted every major moment in One Piece

From what I remember from earlier in the story, there’s only one of each DF in the world. When the user of the DF dies, another DF of the same way eventually pops up elsewhere. So Blackbeard basically found a way to interrupt this.<br><br>My theory on the Blackbeard thing is that he basically uses his black-hole powers to suck in and capture the escaping devil. He wouldn’t be able to do it without the darkness fruit.<br><br>In the meantime, I had to read the Mangastream translation before I figured out what Law’s expression just before breakfast was. He was shocked at finding himself drawn along with the Straw Hats’ pace.<br><br>Also totally expecting Luffy to go “meh, don’t care” at the whole devil-fruit thing. Until someone possibly eats it, and proceeds to get beaten the hell down by a Luffy who had an EXPERIENCED firefruit-user as a brother and thus knows all his moves.<br>

?.? It was pretty much directly said. What else would the World Government send a letter to Buggy for?<br><br><blockquote class=“Quote”>

Luffy didn’t get any experience fighting a firefruit user. When Ace set sail, he didn’t have his Logia powers yet, so the only times Luffy got in contact with them were during the Whitebeard war.<br>
